Danijel Aleksić is regarded as one of Serbias biggest talents and captains the U17-team which made it to UEFA European Under-17 Championship 2008 in Turkey.
This is a technically very gifted player, shoots with both feet and is a pretty good dribbler. He likes to play as a supporting striker because as he's said it himself, his ability of setting up teammates or scoring by himself.
Danijel is a very important part of Serbias U17-team and a big reason why they qualified for the final tournament in Turkey. He scored 5 out of Serbias 6 goals in the Elite Round against Sweden, Czech Republic and Slovakia. Aleksić also had two goals in the first qualifying round against Lithuania where he lead Serbia to a 2-0-win, so, a grand total of 7 goals and tied on most goals together with Netherlands Geoffrey Castillion after two groupstages.
He made his debut in Serbian Super Liga for FK Vojvodina Novi Sad back in the 2006-2007-season, only 16 years and 6 days old against last years champions Red Star Belgrade, Aleksić made another appereance before the end of 2006-2007-season.
His first goal came against FK Hajduk Rodić M&B Kula on the 2nd of April this year, that was his fourth appereance with the club. Danijel managed to score yet another goal the past weekend as Vojvodina beat FK Bežanija with 3-2.
Vojvodinas sporting director Cvetko Riđošić has been contacted by big clubs in Europe who's interested in signing him. They've turned down everything though and want him to continue in Novi Sad where he also goes to school.
