Why hasn't(didn't) this guy ever make the jump to the next level?

CSKA have just sent him back to Internacional in Brazil for the remainder of his contract.

This guy has unreal talent, and has shown to be physically solid as well. There are almost no weaknesses to his game, yet he's now left Europe and we likely won't see him again.

What went wrong?

Dunno, he maybe just doesn't have much ambition, aside from the money making schemes. He was all set to join Inter before he decided to sign a contract extension.

He's for sure good enough to be a starter in a mid level EPL or Liga team.

I heard he is as big as a whale now. following ronaldinho's footsteps.

Inter is speding a lot with daniel carvalho, d'alessandro... I don't know how this thing is going to work. those guys don't seem too interested in playing football right now.

He's not getting many caps for Brazil, obviously can't be that good. Shame, I used to like him.

Does anyone know why Diogo Rincon has gone on loan?

I see, he was probably the most successful Brazilian to play in the Ukraine really. He adapted way better than the likes of Elano and MAtuzalem.

Oh I'm sorry, I was originally responding to the thread starter about Carvalho.

As for Rincon, he went out of favor with the new manager, Yuri Semin.

Why was that? I thought he was one of your better players.

He was shit in the Russian competition though. HE was only any good for CSKA during the UEFA.
Absolute bullshit, he was our best player in 2005 in the league, first foreign player to won the Russian Player of the year title. He played very good also in 2006 but he got problems with knee near the end of the year and they'd continue through all the 2007 year (surgery in April).
He have returned for few matches in the end of 2007 and showed that he is still great technically, but his physical form was bad and he didn't recover until today, having a couple of minor injuries which hammer all his possible progress.
He is being loaned to Internacional till the end of the year, definitely not for the remainder of the contract which he have renewed till the end of 2010. We hope that he will regain his form at home with wife and child and will return to be great again.

Even though I've seen no figures, Internacional are surely making an expensive risk in their transfer policy. Not a simple case of throwing in two craques and getting results. If they're well motivated it has great potential. Should be interesting to see.

superb player, with a lot of vision, pitch-brains.

RMancini wanted to sign him like anything.... then

Pity to see him leaving the continent.

I thought he was destined for Inter, to see him return to Brasil is disapointing, Ukraine / Russia seems to do crazy things to the mind of young South Americans, they seem to be permanently scarred from thier experiences there.

Carvalho problem were the injuries and the fact cska have a poor coach.
But all this brazilians never talk bad about moscow.

Love is stil there,Jo only leave for a high fee.
Donetsk is a different story.

Carvalho will return again to cska in january and then cska will have a new coach.

Why this players many times don't leave Russia and Ukraine? because very few western clubs can afford the wages and pay the transfer.

Cska ask 25 million for Carvalho in 2005.
