dude, this great for canada. MLS is thriving. MLS cup game beat teh superbowl with the most fans inside the stadium! MLS is selling players for BIG money! MLS academies are producing some good talent in N america! I think concacaf is finally growing! we are helping mexico and mexico are helping us! we r brothers!!

This is definitely a first for our country and possibly world-wide and I applaud the MLS clubs for opening their doors to embrace the opportunity,” said John Herdman, Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team Head Coach and Men’s EXCEL Program Director. “Their openness and support is sending a message to our country that it’s possible to unite our game at all levels for the purpose of improving development opportunities for our players.

“It’s all about creating a synergy so that we can be the best in Concacaf. There are not many clubs around the world that would let international teams come in and take over their coaching environment for a full week, but that’s what we can do differently in Canada and the could be our x-factor within Concacaf.”

Im telling ya...davies could be a BIG star! He is damn good!

Bayern Munich add Alphonso Davies to UEFA Champions League roster

Davies has made two appearances from the bench to kick off his Bayern career; the club are tied for second in the Bundesliga, seven points behind league-leading Borussia Dortmund.

The 18-year-old Canada international joined Bayern in January after Vancouver agreed on a transfer fee that could rise to up to $22 million, a then-MLS record before Miguel Almiron was sold to Newcastle a few weeks ago.

Davies had eight goals and 11 assists in his final MLS season with the Whitecaps in 2018 before heading to Munich.

Don't Look Now, but Major League Soccer May Be the Best Story in American Sports (and Sports Business)
Steady growth in attendance, viewers, and franchise values could make MLS the quintessential sport for entrepreneurs.

Yep, 70,000-plus fans went to see the MLS All Stars play Juventus, last season's Serie A champions -- even though the Italian side didn't include global superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain.

A night like that may come as a surprise to you, especially if you've long grown tired of hearing that soccer is "the sport of the future." But it shouldn't.

A recent Gallup poll shows soccer ranks second in popularity only to football among the coveted 18-34 demographic. Average 2017 MLS attendance was over 22,000, third behind the NFL and major league baseball. Atlanta United FC, owned by Home Depot co-founder and Falcons owner Arthur Blank,
