Inter Milan's Argentine coach Hector Cuper is set to stay at Inter Milan despite interest from Barcelona.
Barca's long-running drama surrounding the coaching position has seen over a dozen names mentioned as targets, with Cuper this week being linked to a return to Spain after only one season with Inter.
Cuper was a shattered man after Sunday's Serie A final round saw his team lose out in the race for the title but Inter president Massimo Moratti has confirmed that Cuper has the full support of Inter management.
Inter President Massimo Moratti has confirmed that Coach Hector Cuper will remain at the club after narrowly missing out on the title.
The former Valencia boss has received the complete backing of Moratti with the oil baron stating that he was "delighted that Cuper would remain."
Meanwhile, Moratti also commented on the transfer speculation that suggests that Brazilian youngster Adriano could leave the San Siro this summer.
"Roma President Franco Sensi has asked me for Adriano but at this moment in time we haven’t made a decision about it," Moratti revealed.
"Adriano is wanted by a host of clubs but he still belongs to us. Newspaper reports suggesting that a deal has been done are not true. And we haven’t spoken about a possible swap deal for Vincent Candela."
Speculation had suggested that Inter would be willing to release the Brazilian in return for the French full-back who would be a welcome addition to the left-hand side of the Inter set-up.
Other reports claim that Adriano could be swapped for Italian international striker Marco Delvecchio.
