The new season of Europa League CSKA starts from the group stage as the Russian cup was won by CL destined Zenit so the cup winner place went to the league 4th place. The group stage was drawn today, with CSKA being in the first pot of the draw, and we went into the group K with Dinamo Zagreb, Feyenoord and Austrian club Wolfsberger.

The group looks quite even and I'm sure that the struggle for the two first places will continue up to the last match day. All the fixtures will be announced shortly, so far it is known that CSKA will play the first and the last matched away while second and fifth match at home, as it is an usual schedule for clubs from countries with a cold climate so that the last group match in December would not be played in possible very low temperatures.

Need to take out Tinizyan and put in Enjuke, not enough dynamism in attack

Great build up play but again the lack of finishing is hurting us.

CSKA - Feyenoord wil start in 1 hour.

CSKA squad: Akinfeev - Zaynutdinov, Diveev, Magnusson, Schennikov - Maradishvili, Oblyakov - Sigurdsson, Vlasic, Ejuke - Chalov
Subs: Torop, Akhmetov, Kotin, Gaich, Bistrovic, Tiknizyan, Shkurin

The most important match as we need a win to have decent chances to take one of two top places in the group. We still are depending on our results only, but losing points today will change that. While we will still have mathematical chances of progressing even in case of defeat, without 3 points today it will be very unprobable.

CSKA - Wolfsberger today at 20:55 Moscow time (18:55 CET).

CSKA squad: Akinfeev - Zaynutdinov, Diveev, Magnusson, Schennikov - Maradishvili, Oblyakov - Kuchaev, Vlasic, Akhmetov - Chalov
Subs: Torop, Vasin, Dzagoev, Ejuke, Sigurdsson, Gaich, Bistrovich, Tiknizyan, Shkurin.

One more match without Fernandes, but Kuchaev and Dzagoev return today to the squad.
CSKA still have chances, but only if they will win both matches. It will give CSKA 9 points and in all variants it will be sufficient to have the second place because either Feyenoord or Dinamo Zagreb will lose points today in their match. There is also a variant with all 3 teams having 9 points, but then the matches between three teams will be counted and in such case Dinamo will be the worst of three.
Meanwhile Dinamo Zagreb may guarantee themselves the first place with an away win today.
