2005 Fixtures

CSKA fixtures in the current, 2005 season:

17 February (Thu)
First leg of 1/16 UEFA Cup 2004/2005
CSKA - Benfica (Lisboa, POR) 2:0 (V. Berezutsky 12', Vagner Love 60')

By officials the first goal was scored by Vasily Berezutsky. Ignashevich stated that he don't touch the ball in his interview. Berezutsky don't touch the ball in my opinion, so it must be Carvalho's. But I will post here official data.

24 February (Thu)
Second leg of 1/16 UEFA Cup 2004/2005
Benfica (Lisboa, POR) - CSKA 1:1 (Ignashevich 50' (another camera))

Referee ruled out two goals - first by Carvalho and second by Vagner.

1 March (Tue)
First leg of 1/8 Russian Cup 2004/2005
FC Moscow - CSKA 1:3 (Samodin 45+1', Carvalho 62', Gusev (p) 90+1')

Two goal assists by Laizans. Penalty faul on Carvalho, after Vagner's pass.

5 March (Sat)
Second leg of 1/8 Russian Cup 2004/2005
CSKA - FC Moscow 3:1 (Olic 10', Laizans 35', Carvalho 63')
Krasic assisted Olic, Gusev assisted Laizans, Carvalho scored from free-kick after faul on himself.

10 March (Thu)
First leg of 1/8 UEFA Cup 2004/2005
Partizan (Belgrade, SMN) - CSKA 1:1 (Aldonin 15')

13 March (Sun)
CSKA - Terek 3:0 (Olic 20', Carvalho 62', Rahimic 82')

17 March (Thu)
Second leg of 1/8 UEFA Cup 2004/2005
CSKA - Partizan (Belgrade, SMN) 2:0 (Carvalho 69', Vagner (p) 83')

Brilliant preformance by Carvalho, who scored first goal and earned penalty, which was converted to second goal by Vagner. Both times it was after Vagner's assist, which have send Carvalho was 1 on 1 with Partizan's keeper.

20 March (Sun)
Tom - CSKA 0:0

3 April (Sun)
CSKA - Lokomotiv 0:0

7 April (Thu)
First leg of Quaterfinal of UEFA Cup 2004/2005
CSKA - Auxerre (FRA) 4:0 (Odiah 21', Ignashevich (p) 63', Vagner 71', Gusev 78')

The first goal was rather an own goal by Mathis, but UEFA have Odiah at their site. Vagner was fouled in the area and Ignashevich converted penalty with no chances to goalie. Next two goals was made by Zhirkov, who assisted in both moments. I also want to highlight Carvalho for his pass to Zhirkov at fourth goal - in jump by the back of the foot.

10 April (Sun)
CSKA - Krylia Sovetov 5:0 (Krasic 32', Olic (p) 42', 79', Pravosud 51', Laizans 86')

Krasic scored his first goal for CSKA. Third goal was very funny - watch it. CSKA played with rather reserve squad in attack. Defensive line was preparing for Auxerre - 'cause Alexey Berezutsky, who'll miss the match in France, was at bench. Gazzaev gave full rest to Vagner, some rest to Carvalho (played only 30 minutes) and Zhirkov (substituted after 70 minutes of playing). Also he gave some first squad experience to young forward Pravosud, who was in perfect form in last reserves matches, scoring 6 goals in 3 matches.

14 April (Thu)
Second leg of Quaterfinal of UEFA Cup 2004/2005
Auxerre (FRA) - CSKA 2:0

Hard match. First lost match in the season.

17 April (Sun)
Zenit - CSKA 1:0

It was hard week.

20 April (Wed)
First leg of the Quaterfinal of Russian Cup 2004/2005
CSKA - Saturn 2:1 (Laizans 88', Aldonin 90')

Saturn scored quick goal at 15'. CSKA played with rather reserve squad, and in the last three minutes of the match manager to score two goals.

28 April (Thu)
First leg of the Semifinal of UEFA Cup 2004/2005
Parma (ITA) - CSKA 0:0

Goalless match.

5 May (Thu)
Second leg of the Semifinal of UEFA Cup 2004/2005
CSKA - Parma (ITA) 3:0 (Carvalho 10', Carvalho 53', V. Berezutsky 60')

Daniel Carvalho scored twice with one-timer shots after Yuri Zhorkov and Vagner Love assists, and assisted from free-kick to Vasily Berezutsky, who headed ball into the net in high jump. Parma's goalkeeper was concussed after a petard blow up not far from him.

10 May (Tue)
Second leg of the Quarterfinal of Russian Cup 2004/2005
Saturn - CSKA 0:0

CSKA want not, Saturn can not.

13 May (Fri)
First leg of the Semifinal of Russian Cup 2004/2005
Zenit - CSKA 1:0

Vagner Love got two yellows and CSKA have played without him from 41'.
Olic was elbowed by Hagen and got a broken nose.

18 May (Wed)
Final of UEFA Cup 2004/2005
Sporting - CSKA 1:3 (A. Berezutsky 56' (AltVideo), Zhirkov 65' (AltVideo), Vagner 75' (AltVideo))

The biggest victory in the history of Russian football. Sporting was better in the first half, and had a lead 1:0. But CSKA turned around the match, scoring three goal in the second half, all three after Daniel Carvalho's assists.

22 May (Sun)
Spartak - CSKA 1:3 (Aldonin 51', V. Berezutsky 59', Olic 83')

Spartak scored theirs goal in first half. After the break, CSKA scored three goals, like they did in previous match with Sporting. Berezutsky brothers are looking to compete, who will score more goals this season. At the moment, older brother is ahead with 3 goals against his brother's one.

25 May (Wed)
Second leg of the Semifinal of Russian Cup 2004/2005
CSKA - Zenit 2:0 (Aldonin 12', Carvalho 34')

Aldonin scored in Luzhniki from over 25 meters in two matches in a row. Carvalho's goal was ever more beautyful. After this win, next CSKA match will be postponed, as CSKA will play in the final with Khimki, at 29th May (Sunday).
