Sablic should be in the NT!! he played very well today against Inter and I believe he should get a call-up before the likes of Tomas and Tokic.
simic

i though was best def...tusseled with milosevic all nite

though his hair is ridiculus...he looks like a tart.
Laursen was terrible, the second Celta goal was all his fualt, not only did he get two chances to shoot from 6 yards out, Laursen was standing there with his hand in the air expecting an offside call when he was right next to the guy! lol :D
our players today...

Rober Kovac had a minor injury and he didn't play. Mornar was not in the matchday squad. Both Leko and Sablic played well for Dinamo Kiev. Sablic was solid at the back and Leko had a few shots on goal. Prso was on the bench but did not come on. Tudor played the whole match and Juve won 7-0! against Galatasary.
Milan Rapaic made his first start for Ancona today and was obviuosly the best player for Ancona today. He almost won a penalty, put in good crosses, took good free kicks. On the highlights show every chance that Ancona had was started by Rapaic. Looking at the standings it is not too late for them to make a push out of relegaion, only 5 points.
WEEKEND MATCHES (sorry about forgeting yesterday I was very busy)
Italy
Dario Simic AC Milan- Dario was not in the matchday squad for AC Milan in their 1-1 draw with Boca. Boca would win on penalties.

Igor Tudor Juventus - Was on the bench but did not come on as his side crush Parma 4-0.

Anthony Seric Parma - Was on the bench and did not come on as Parma lost to Juve 4-0.

Miki Rapaic Ancona - Read post above. Ancona lost 1-0 on an chip goal by Liverani.

Bosko Balaban Empoli - Was not in the matchday squad as Empoli failed to beat the struggling Brescia. The match ended at 2-0.

Germany
Robert Kovac Bayern Munich - Robert is still suffering from a thigh injury. Bayern Munich beat Stuttgart 1-0.

Zvonimir Soldo Stuttgart- Was not in the matchday squad in Stuttgart's 1-0 loss to Bayern.

Jurica Vranjes Stuttgart - Played the full match in Stuttgart's 1-0 loss to Bayern Munich.

Marko Babic Leverkusen - Played the full 90 minutes and played well although the result for Leverkusen wasn't too good. Leverkusen lost to Werder Bremen 3-1.

Ivan Klasnic Werder Bremen - Played 75 minutes and for the first time in a while he didn't score or get an assist on any of the goals. Werder Bremen won 3-1 over Leverkusen.

Josip Simunic Hertha Berlin - Not in the matchday squad for Hertha Berlin.

Niko Kovac Hertha Berlin - Played the full match and picked up a yellow card in the 74th minute. Hertha Berlin still can't get a win as they draw with 1860 Munich 1-1.

Spain
Ivan Leko Malaga - Came on in the 68th minute as Malaga easily beat Mallorca 3-1.

France
Dado Prso Monaco - Scored both goals for Monaco in their 2-0 win over Strasbourg. Prso played 84 minutes before beign replaced.

England
Igor Biscan Liverpool - Played the full 90 minutes as Liverpool for the first time since I can remember were booed off the pitch after a 2-1 loss to Southampton. Biscan had the task of marking Beattie and except for a few times he was outpaced he did well.

Mario Stanic Chelsea - Not in the matchday squad as the lowly Bolton beat Chelsea 2-1.

Boris Zivkovic Portsmouth - Boris Zivkovic played the full 90 minutes in Pompey's 2-1 loss to Everton. After a good start to the season Pompey are now in the relegation zone.

**In other leagues, Vlaovic scored for PAO in their 3-1 win over Proodeftiki. Ivica Mornar once again scored for Anderlecht as they beat Cercle Bruges 3-2.

Apparantly Sokota scored for Benfica in a 2-0 win over Braga and played really well:D

He really is making a claim to for a starting position in the NT.
Milan Rapaic was picked for Serie A Best 11 this week. Good start from him as he had an impressive game.

On the other end of the scale, Igor Biscan was picked for the Premiership Worst 11. He's had a shitter.
He had to mark James Beattie which was tough for him, he was too fast. He could of scored too, Biscan had a free header from a corner but he sent his header well wide.
Ivan Klasnic Werder Bremen - Played 75 minutes and for the first time in a while he didn't score or get an assist on any of the goals. Werder Bremen won 3-1 over Leverkusen.
I just saw the highlights.... Klasnic set up Ailtons goal with a brilliant pass.
GERMANY
Josip Simunic Hertha Berlin - Was not in the matchday squad for the Hertha 3-0 loss against bottom club Cologne.

Niko Kovac Hertha Berlin - Played the full match and picked up another yellow card in the Hertha loss.

Ivan Klasnic Werder Bremen - Played 80 minutes in the Werder Bremen 3-0 win over Hansa Rostock.

Robert Kovac Bayern Munich - Robert Kovac is still suffering from his thigh injury and was not in the matchday squad. Bayern killed Freiburg 6-0!
About Niko Kovac, seems the former manager thinks he and Bobic are the problems for Hertha Berlin's poor start to the season..

Screw this guy Stevens. N.Kovac kills himself for the national team and Bobic is what half Slovenian half Croatian? who I remember before was always a very good striker for Germany(Euro 96) and is fighting his way back into the German National Team. If more players were like Niko and Fredi then there would not be a problem with soccer. Country always comes first and Niko and Fredi know what its all about.
Its always the stars who have to take all the shit if the team doesnt perform well...nothing more with it...
Does anybody know why Josip Simunic hasn't been in the matchday squad for Hertha in the past few league games? Is he injured or did the manager just drop him out of the line-up, I tried to ask the guys at the Hertha forum and they never answered. :D
Basically not much action today from the Croatian players in Europe. Mornar and Sokota both scored for thier clubs as both of the teams won. Milan Rapaic missed a PK and Ancona lose once again 1-0. Zivkovic came off the bench late in the game as Pompey were crushed by thier rivals Southampton. Simic, Seric and Tudor didn't play. Igor Budan scored the only goal for Atalanta and Vugrinec's goal was disallowed becuase he was in an offside position.
Other than the English league every league have have a few weeks for the winter break so it looks like the only players that will be playing are going to be Biscan (Liverpool) and Zivkovic (Pompey)
Have we forgotten about Marijo Maric? He has 11 goals in 18 games for Karnten despite the team being full of shits!
The best youngsters from Eastern Europe this season according to uefa.com and one of the players is Darijo Srna.

Some of our players are in action today as Serie A restarts and there is one Premier league game. Zivkovic is the starter for Pompey in thier match against Aston Villa. Tudor played the full match for Juventus. Simic was on the bench for AC Milan. Seric started for Parma and was sent off for a second yellow in the 80th minute. Milan Rapaic had another great game for Ancona, he earned a penlty kick for his team but he didn't take it, Ancona missed it once again. In Serie B Igor Budan scored once again for Atalanta.
I watched the Juve game this morning. Tudor had a good game, nothing spectacular mind you but, he was playing with confidence and looked solid. Almost scored on a header where the keeper was forced into a diving save and gave up a rebound which Conte (I think?) hit the side of the net. Nedved's goal was a 'cracker' (pardon my limey slang;)).
Greek giants Panathinaikos are reportedly interested in trying to lure Werder Bremen misfit Ivica Banovic to Athens, according to reports in Croatia and Greece.
Panathinaikos' Croatian director of sport Velimir Zajec has reportedly made Banovic his number one transfer target for the summer.

It is even being suggested Werder might allow the Croatian to leave during the winter transfer period, with him having no future at the club.

The 23-year-old midfielder has still not made his Bundesliga breakthrough despite spending the last three-and-a-half years at the Weserstadion.

Banovic joined the Green and Whites in a €2 million move from NK Zagreb, and Werder are not expected to renew his contract which ends in the summer.
