Some former Vancouver Croatia soccer players have been making the news recently... Nick Dasovic and Johnny Sulentic were both called up to the Canadian NT for a friendly against Barbados which they won 1-0.

Dasovic, a long time NT player who played for Segesta Sisak, Dinamo Zagreb, Trellborgs (Sweden) and St. Johnstone (Scotland) is 35 years old and is making some of his last NT appearances...His father also used to coach Vancouver Croatia.

Sulentic, an A-League (Whitecaps) player who failed on his trials to sign for a club in Croatia 2 summers ago, though Kranjcar wanted to sign him at Rijeka but the board wouldn't allow it, made his NT debut. He was coaching and playing for Vancouver Croatia this season.

Another former Vancouver Croatia player, Alen Marcina, signed a 3 year professional contract with Greek team PAOK Salonica. Alen is a regular player for Vancouver at the Western Canadian Croatian Tournaments and I guess we will not be seeing him play at the next one now.;) His brother currently plays for Vancouver Croatia.

The Best team in Canada and at went one in North America was a croatian club with some help with Eusebio too.:D, Toronto Croatia is having a bad season in the CPSL, probably because our former best player went to play in Osijek.
