But don't go around mocking Parma then. We actually care about the club and we thought Crespo did that as well. After all, if he'd join any other big italian club he would have been benched in his first season and sold to Atalanta the next year. He is in huge debt to Parma.

Oh, only Milan and Juventus have been more successful than Parma in the nineties. We'll win, you'll see.

About the Crespo thing i don't care we get great deal from it

There's something I don't quiet get.
Gazzetta (which is normally reliable when they print messages like "the deal is done") said that the prize for Crespo would be Almeyda, Salas and 25 million lira.
In the bottom line they say that Crespo's prize is thus 125 million lira. How on earth would that be ? No way Salas and Almeyda would bring 100 million lira. That's 55 million $ by my account and thus close to 40 million £.
Anyway it's a VERY good deal for Parma, but it doesn't add up with the suggested fee.

As for Parma lifting the trophee..... I DON'T THINK SO! .

But you have certainly improved you squad substantially, and I cannot see how you will be able to miss out on the CL.
If everything goes your way you COULD take it, but Lazio and Juve will be favourites I feel.

almeyda+parma, thats what i say...it all comes down to money....lazio was in desperate need of a great striker and they had to pay dearly for one. parma made a great deal because there are great future players that can take his place...saviola can be one.

Anyway, there is NO chance that Salas would be valued at $35 million. How in earth can you say that a 29 year old defensive midfielder with injury problems can be worth $25 million? And that a striker that failed to deliver would be valued at $35 million? I would like to value this deal to $50 million myself. $25 million for Salas and $15 million for Almeyda.

That 12.5M is not enough for a great striker as Crespo.

Another factor that made me believe Parma will take the Scudetto has gone...I still like this team in Serie A though

real player, don't be so depressed. We still have Amoroso, Di Vaio and Bonnazzoli. Alex, Micoud, Boghossian, Fuser, Thuram, Cannavaro, Buffon... Almeyda and Salas are not bad players either. Dabo will be an excellent midfielder too, maybe already in this season.
