How stupid are Chivas lol.. couldn't they have made a deal like Inter did with Sandro, that Chicharito returns after it's all done?

They had a way better chance if they did..

Inter on verge of title after 2-1 win in Mexico
MEXICO CITY, Aug 11 (Reuters) - Two headed goals in quick succession midway through the second half put Internacional within touching distance of the Libertadores Cup after a 2-1 away win over Guadalajara on Wednesday.

The Mexican side took the lead on the stroke of halftime in the first leg of the final at their Omnilife stadium with a header by Mexico international Adolfo Bautista.

But striker Giuliano and defender Bolivar replied to put the Brazilians on the verge of their second title. Inter won South America’s premier club trophy in 2006.

Inter had been wary of Guadalajara’s synthetic pitch but their man-of-the-match Andres D’Alessandro said: “We did well on a pitch that we said was no excuse for not playing our usual game.

“We went out to play as equals and luckily we got an away victory which is always important. But it’s still 50-50. The Chivas (Guadalajara) play well as visitors so we’ve got to be very careful,” he told Fox Sports.

The return leg is next Wednesday at Inter’s Beira-Rio stadium in the southern Brazilian city of Porto Alegre.

Internacional deserves the trophy, and I think they'll earn it again in the last game. They're a stronger and more experienced team than Guadalajara.

It will be interesting to have an "Inter vs Inter" showdown at the World Club Cup. Whatever happens, an Inter will be world champion this year! :D

there was an Inter vs Inter game back in 2007/2008 Dubai cup , we won
We should not take Chivas lightly, although a tie will win us. I just can't wait , thought I would wait another decade after 2006 win , man this is good feeling.

Inter could be missing 3 starters in Copa final

PORTO ALEGRE, Brazil (AP)—Internacional may be without three key starters in the second leg of the Copa Libertadores final because of injuries.

Striker Alecsandro and midfielders Tinga and Pablo Guinazu missed practice Monday and may not play at Beira-Rio stadium on Wednesday.

Internacional won the first leg 2-1 in Mexico and needs a draw to clinch its second title in Latin America’s most important club competition.

Alecsandro and Tinga are nursing right thigh injuries, while Guinazu is trying to recover from a left ankle injury.

“We can’t make any predictions,” Internacional doctor Guilherme Caputo said, adding the players will have to keep being evaluated until matchday.

Tinga, who missed the first leg because of a red card in the semifinals, injured his right thigh in the team’s 3-0 loss to Fluminense in the Brazilian league on Sunday in Rio de Janeiro. He was only one of the few regular starters not rested for the second leg.

Alecsandro also is nursing a right thigh muscle injury from the first leg, while Argentine midfielder Guinazu twisted his left ankle and hasn’t been able to practice since last week.

Caputo said all three players have been improving and are likely to practice at least a little bit on Tuesday.

Midfielder Sandro also missed Monday training session because of muscle pain but doctors said he is expected to play.

Internacional is trying to win its first Copa Libertadores title since 2006, when it also won FIFA’s Club World Championship in a final against Barcelona.

Chivas is trying to become the first Mexican club to win the title.

Congrats to Internacional, the fully-deserved Libertadores champion! :star: :star:

And BOO to the disgraceful thugs from Chivas, especially the bum who punched Rafael Sobis on the back three times. The referee was ridiculously lenient with the mexicans' violence, but Inter punished them on the scoreboard.
