I am a bit unsure as to how the team will set up, just because a few players have just come back, and others may be rested the whole week for the coming weekend (a la RVN).

I'd expect Dudek to start, but then the back line is a mystery. Possibly Ramos getting a game, Canna to keep him sharp, Metzelder and Marcelo. I would expect the midfield to be Diarra, DLR and Guti to give them a little match fitness and DLR a game after being rested at the weekend, then up top maybe Drenthe, Raul and Saviola. With Saviola and Drenthe providing a little more pace, Raul can occupy the central role and use that poachers instinct he has to better effect. After Higuain's killer game against Bilboa, he deserves a rest I think, and maybe Raul can get a couple and his confidence will get a boost.

To summarise I will take a wild guess at:

Dudek

Ramos - Canna - Metzelder - Marcelo

Diarra - DLR

Guti

Drenthe - Raul - Saviola​

Right, left, it doesn't matter. He can change throughout the game, and my formation on an internet forum isn't the 100% gospel truth as to how it should or will be :howler:.

It's simply there to show he will be part of the front three, that's all.

Official line-ups aren't released until 45 minutes before kick-off. Anything else before then is purely guess work on the part of posters here, there and everywhere, as well as the likes of AS and Marca.
