Major League Soccer has turned down an offer from an unknown European club for FC Dallas striker Kenny Cooper. According to our sources that asked to stay anonymous, MLS received a bid this week for Cooper’s services in the neighborhood of $1 million (US). Perhaps not surprisingly in the light of Jozy Altidore’s reported $8 to $10 million sale to Villareal, MLS and FCD have turned down the opening offer for the red stripes lone reliable goal scorer.
With the European transfer window approaching, Cooper’s return to top scoring form has clearly attracted the attention of several clubs as several European agents have been sighted at the last few Dallas games.
Stay tuned as this story develops.
