I'm trying to compile as many football anthems as I can, for a website to be opened in the near future. If you could provide me with club songs, it would be much appreciated. If possible, I'd like them in the original language and English translation (bei deutschcpraechige Lieder brauche keine übersetzung/pour les chansons françaises, pas besoin des traductions - solamente italiano io no capisco!), though if a translation isn't possible, that's fine too - the original language will suffice. Any club, any division is welcome - the more, the better! Post them here, or PM me with them. Thanks!

Btw squelch, nice idea of yours - only thing no one will understand those little Swiss German songs.... :D

Last Wednesday there was an "official FC Thun 1898 song released - but the fans won't sing that one as it is definitely not a stadium anthem...

Jede Tag schmide mir nöii Plän,
stecke üsi Ziel no höcher aus si scho si
Definiere aui üsi Regle nöi, gä Gas womer nume chöi

Mir touche immer wieder i
Mir
si starch wemer zäme sie
Mir
läbe üsi Fantasie,
i üsere Wäut, womer üsi Heude si

Mir touche wieder i,
starch wemer zämä sie
Mir läbä d’Fantasie,
starch wemer zämä sie

Immer wider raffe mir üs uf,
fasse wider Muet egal wases brucht
Lönis la tribe vo üsere Chraft,
womer zäme hei erschafft

Es chönt ja si das mir au zäme
ganz weni zviu wie
Mir hei Tröim womer wie läbe
si bereit, versetze Bärge,
mir grife nach Stärne
Mache Scheiss, lache drüber
wemer euter wärde
Mängisch heimer z’Gfüeu,
mir wäre ganz allei,
mir gloube nüm a üs,
verlüre üsi Tröim
Mir luege füre,
plücke dr Tag,
mir sie derbi
Mir gäbe Gas,
si so starch wemr zäme sie

Even if you don't understand it is too long anyway...

Cheers

Thx a lot Eastie - I'm just too busy those weeks, otherwise I would've posted this long before. The version seems alright - I'll post an explanation or sth next weekend when I find the time to do so.

As promised, here my try to translate it into some sort of German (as I don't think you understand "Baseldytsch" and an English translation is rather difficult).

Zu Basel an meinem Rhein (means: In Basel am Rhein)
Ja dort möcht' ich sein
Weht die Luft so mild und lau
Und der Himmel ist so blau
Zu Basel, Zu Basel, Zu Basel an meinem Rhein (2x) - different version (the one posted by East Ender): An meinem lieben, an meinem lieben, an meinem lieben Rhein

Rotblau ist heut' die Farbe,
spielen auf ganz stark. (no, there really is no rhyme - like in German rap...)
Rennen dem Gegner die Bude ein,
schiessen die Tore zum nächsten Sieg. (once again the creator proves his total absence of a sense for rhymes)
Rotblau, rotblau, rotblau ist heut' die Farbe (2x)

Der Gegner ist sofort geschockt,
wenn das ganze Joggeli (name of the stadium) rockt.
Werden die Beine ganz lahm und schwer,
Der FCB gewinnt einmal mehr.
Super Basel, super FCB. (2x)

If you listen to the sound file provided by Mr. Ender you'll easily find out a lot of people do not really have a sense of rhythm - although they could just listen to the background music... :nono: :embarass:

The first strophe/verse is taken from a traditional local song - shortly before the champions league qualifier against Celtic a few years ago some fans then started an initiative and created the other two. And since then it's in place. Looking forward to the Thun effort, though.
