why is every one blaming Liverpool FC for refs bad decisions and put in us together with Juventus?

Its not like we payed the refs.

But anyways i don't give a **** what you'll think we are in the semis, and I think it was a hard decision on the PK, there was defenetly a foul, but not sure if in or outside area.
Its true, it is most likely the referee just sh!ts himself when he sees Mascherano's teeth

Toure was still making contact inside the box, until youtube proves otherwise, I'm 99% on this.
He 'touched' Babel who was already on his way down. If this is a penalty then I give up watching football.

Man someone needs to get some highlights in here... no way Toure made much contact with him as some say... it was hardly any at all and the contact that was there was because Toure was tracking back and his momentum makes him touch babel slightly... happens all the time.

Babel was impeded by Fabregas not Toure... people need to get their facts straight... the foul was caused by fabregas... how can Toure give the penalty away when Babel was already off balance and falling to the floor like a mug anyway.

Torres' goal was thanks alot to Senderos standing about 6 yards away from him  Great finish of course.

Unfortunately tomorrow there will be no drama. Pretty much wrapped up in tomorrow games. The final will be Barcelona - Chelsea, which measn you guys should bet on Man Utd - Liverpool.

I would not bet against Man U at this point. They seem to have found the killer instinct in Europe they've been lacking.
Peaked too soon... I expect Barca to go on a 10 game winning streak from now :pp

Barcelona on their day can beat anyone though. I wouldnt be surprised and I will go against common opinion for this game in a few weeks. We will have to see anyway, Im still hoping Roma injure Ronaldo for the rest of the season to give Arsenal a bit of chance in the EPL. Dont mind Ronaldo being back for Euro 2008 though.

That clip doesnt really show the whole incident.. Babel was already off balance and from another angle (opposite side view) I saw on TV Toure actually made quite little contact with Babel

Anyway I also think these games showed how clueless Italian teams really are now (and probably shit would be a good word)... The tactical battles to beat Arsenal (putting high pressure on them, maybe playing a big striker) and Liverpool (keep the God damn ball) was quite clear... yet both Italian teams had absolutely nothing. Inter at Anfield didnt pass the halfway line while Milan were scared for the whole 180 minutes against Arsenal... played 7 defenders and still didnt bother to pressure Arsenal higher up.

Milan have the ability to play a higher game... if you consider Gattuso and Ambrosini are true DMs who can put pressure on the opposition (as they did to Man U) alone and then also they seemingly missed Seedorf in leg 2 as he normally plays with more pressure... but it was clear Milan were content to just sit on their box and hope to somehow score at the other end. You deserve to go out if this is the way you set out.

Inter don't have the midfield, which is why they are not good enough to represent Italy as our main contenders. What team seriously expects to win a European competition by not playing a single midfielder who thinks forward before defence.

Of course Man U met Roma at the best time... we were without Totti our best player, and Juan our best defender in the first leg... of course it also shows that the 2nd best team in Italy cant even live without their best player. Its a sad state for Serie A, but take Totti out of Roma and maybe Kaka out of Milan and you are left with a bunch of decent footballers, but no one with much creation, or a team with pace, or even a team with any real strength. If Man U did lose Ronaldo, Id still be damned sure they could play a great game...

Hopefully the big Italian teams start buying the best again, they have good players already, and in some cases world class ones, but they are also buying the wrong players. Milan sign players like Favalli, Emerson etc. I mean seriously...

Roma's problem against Man U is that Man U is basically Roma with mostly better players, so you're always going to find the odds tough there.

And the big teams screwed Serie A in the end. In their greed, they didn't think that keeping the money among themselves would lead to a less attractive competition and that at the end of the day, it is the mid table teams that make a league.
I dont think our mid-table teams are that bad really... I mean it shows because Milan are not exactly killing the league in their state... they are actually quite sh!t... the likes of Samp, Fiorentina, Udinese, Napoli, Genoa have given strong signals this year for the mid-table teams of Serie A.

The fact is our best teams are not as good... just as Aston Villa wouldnt reach the QF of the CL, neither would Napoli... but the point is I would always expect the likes of Milan, Inter and Roma to put up a better fight.

Actually cant blame Roma, we knocked out the best team of La Liga... just that Man U is one game too far for us, no shame in that because even in Leg 1 I thought we played well for 65 minutes.

Well at any rate, financial strength is always going to effect what quality of teams you can put out. EPL mid table sides with spend a shitload of money this summer, Serie A sides will probably lose their best players to the big clubs. The cycle of the league screwing itself continues.
Soend money on what? Lets face it, alot of the mid-table EPL teams spend their money on crap. Sure Man City improved the squad I thought and a couple others did, but I wouldnt say the likes of Udinese, Sampdoria or Napoli have to envy these teams squads. Also I prefer the teams of Serie A who also give chance to the youth currently and have many Italians in the squad too... this I dont have a problem with... indeed Im probably over-reacting generally anyway because only last year Milan won the CL, but I felt this year both Milan and Inter didnt do themselves justice... especially Inter.

Filipe if you support Arsenal its easier to moan about the negatives than look at any positives.

positives from last night: We could have gone through if the ref called the situation like most refs do 80% of the time. Clichy was quality again I thought. Flamini was quality until he went off injured, turning point in the game for me. Diaby looked good. We played some great football for the first 30 of the match. Walcott's run

Negatives. We went out. Senderos showed he is the worst defender in a top 4 club. Eboue showed he is the most useless player. Gilberto can't hack it anymore.

Senderos was at fault for one goal. Toure for 2 goals.
I thought Torres' goal Senderos was absolutely horror show, still a great goal, but he stood about 6 yards away from him and let him shoot.

I think what GO12 said in the Roma forum was the most accurate.

Roma only have a chance if we score early from a penalty where a Man U DF or GK gets sent off... this is the ONLY chance we have. However it wont happen.. we could have the most blatant penalty in the world... Wes Brown could actually break Vucinic's leg in two with a horrible challenge and I am still sure we would not get a penalty at Old Trafford in the early minutes.
