The intention was not to offend you Paraiso or to start a crusade against Aluminium BUT fact remains he isnt good enough AND yes at 31 its a bit too ate to embark on a career as a goalkeeper. I am not saying Mad Jens was right to say whatever he said just that what came out has some truth in it.

It isnt uncommon for keepers to peak late in their careers. I'd like to say Friedel, Van der saar, Schmeichel, Seaman. So why not Almunia peak now?

Some people don't like Almunia because he is not a big name. We can improve on him but to single him out for our failures this season is wrong.

I don't think he's done much wrong - I just can't think on an outstanding game he's had.

I wouldn't blame him for our season, if I were listing key factors he wouldn't be in the top ten. But, should we go for a better keeper if one is available? I think so.
