I am not sure how much Cesc has left in his tank, he looked out of his depths today. We need one more huge effort from the kid.

Adebayor, Clichy and Hleb return to the starting line-up.

Please AW start Eboue at RB and Theo at RW.
Nah, rather start Kolo at RB, Theo RW and Senderos alongside Gallas.

Tunis, Eboue is a better RB than Kolo. It's not like Kolo has been playing great since returning from the ACN anyway. His pace is better utilized to deal with the threat of Torres. Senderos could get burned on Tuesday I don't want us to take that risk.

Eboue is a nutter, I do not trust him to not make a massive mistake ala OT FA cup at what will be our most intense game of the season esp at Anfield.

Flamini injury is a massive blow as we now have very little bite in the middle of the pitch. We need to some how not concede another and hope the subs of RVP and Walcott will lead to a late winner.

I want Arsenal to win, but what the feck is with playing the victim game. It has feck all to do with luck even if you outplayed them, but with the fact that your defence just simply sucks when dealing with a long ball thrown at them. If you had a Campbell on his prime, that would never ever have fallen to Hyppia.
Sol in his Pomp or Vidic type CB is something we must address this summer as we concede the weakest goals of any top team in Europe.

Very harsh PK but our defence has been atrocious for well over six weeks. FFS even when we score it's a matter of a few minutes before we concede. Champions do not concede goals generously, teams do not even half to do much to score against us. First goal poorly defended corner, second goal another route one by Reina and this time Torres takes advantage of our inability to clear a route one ball, last and certainly not lease Kolo running around Babel like a chicken with his head cut off, harsh PK decision but Kolo should have handled Babel far better.

I said it before very things in life are as cruel as being a Gooner.

Hard to take any positive from the last six weeks but one that aspect the is a great omen for the future is one Theo Walcott. During our poorest run of the season this kid has not shied away under the pressure and expectations. Time and again over the last six weeks he has been one of the few Gunners who has stepped up and made a huge impact in games late.

Will be a long summer for Gooners and it does not seem like it now but there is not much wrong with this team, a few key additions will put us over the top. I say today without any hesitation come next season we will see silverware return to THOF

Me thinks we would be fine if we had a CB like Vidic. Look at Man Utd, sublime team likely the best in the World but when you do not have a tower dominating CB odds are you're likely to concede goals when under the cosh. For all our talk of lack of scoring wide-men, Ade's inconsistency, injuries, refs and bottling facts are if we had Sol in his pomp we likely win the PL and reach the semi-finals of the CL.

This where it's hard to blame AW, our defence has more than enough experience to at least not concede retarded goals but yet we do which is why we wilt late in games, not do to some sort of mental anxiety but rather that our CB paring inarticulacy is just not good enough when it's all said and done. Gallas and Clichy were superb tonight but a back four is only as strong as it's weakest link and the last 6 weeks Kolo Toure has been nothing short of horrendous and Big Phil has been good by his standards but not by CL and EPL double winning standards.

Was never a PK, The decision was harsh rather than corrupt. That being said what the hell was Kolo thinking? He has more than enough experience to handle Babel in a far more intelligent fashion but he lost the plot. Facts are as I have been saying for over two years despite the deficiencies in our attack the main problem we have had is our mediocre defence. Facts are our D has been fragile ever since Sol lost his mind in early 2006, since than we have been unable to create a sold back four and particularly a dominating CB duo.

We just never look like a team that can shut shop and grind out narrow victories, No Gooners expect the "ONE NIL TO THE ARSENAL" like defending of yesteryear but the last six weeks have seen some this worst Arsenal defencive displays since before George Graham.

BTW to any Gooner who has Arsenal TV online I suggest you watch Clichy's interview. It's obvious that the overall sentiment in the dressing is not that the ref cost Arsenal but rather "KOLO HOW COULD YOU BE SO %$#@^& STUPID?"

With Arsenal eliminated I hope Barca win it with Henry scoring the CL winner, if not Barca it's has to be Liverpool without a doubt.

Whats that have to do with anything? Liverpool were favoured by the refs in all THREE encounters and while Arsenal looked just the better team. If I was an Arsenal I would have wished the same, Liverpool did NOT beat Arsenal fair and square. Not blaming the Liverpool but obviouisly they are favoured by the refs, fact.
I do not think their is any pro Liverpool conspiracy, the official simply made the wrong decision but Kolo really should have dealt with the decision much better. seems worse than it is due to the fact the ref in the first leg simply blew a dead on PK for Hleb.

Just have to hope the karma smiles upon us what it matters most next season as we';re well over due for some breaks in big games.
