If we go up one nil and close up shop we can take advantage of their pathetic attack. We should beat them at their own anti-football.

We are not the best at "closing up shop". We have a tendency to self-implode when we try that. Don't want to see it. We will invite huge pressure on us and in the past we have buckled under such circumstances. Just want to see a sensible balance between defence and attack. Keep them thinking.
If Liverpool ever open up and attack their shape would be stretched. Liverpool aren't too good at that.

I think Bendtner should start given that Liverpool can't defend set pieces. With Ade and Bendtner we could play balls into the box all game and see what happens. I really don't give a crap how ugly we win but we must win.

Rafa is thinking about playing a 4-4-2 with Torres and Crouch upfront. This could mean that we can also play a 4-4-2 and have our midfield dance around theirs. I think that an open, attacking Liverpool will be easier to beat than a 4-5-1 ultra defensive one.

Can't really blame any of the players for the loss. I thought everyone played very well. Xinz slag off Eboue all you want but him and Toure played very well on the right for spells tonight. The Diaby goal was beautiful. Theo's run ending up in an Ade goal was incredible. Loudest I've ever shouted after a goal.

Penalty was crap. We were in and got robbed. Nice goal for Torres. Flamini>>>Mascherano.

Fu cking gutted. Many possitives to take from this season. I won't let negativity spoil the great thrills I've lived thanks to this team. I love Arsene Wenger and hope he stays with us until he retires. I love Arsenal. Good night.

i think you should fire wenger and his stupid youth policy cause it's clearly not working

the big prize in european football is the champion's league and your team will never have a chance this way
What and have a merry go-round of tossers like Real Madrid? Look what happened when your brilliant directors sacked Del Bosque. You went through Camacho, Luxemburgo, Capello and now Schuster. How bad have you done in Europe since the last time you won the CL with Del Bosque?

how can you blame Almunia so much, so he conceded a cross what about your defense? Hypia had an easy header all alone from a ball that stayed in the air for HOURS, it was not a sharp fast cross, yet one of their best headers was left alone to score, Sendero was abismal there.

And on the Torres goal nobody even closed on him on that split ball, Senderos late as usual.

So how the **** is Almunia any responsible for this last result?
I agree 100%. Almunia did well last night and he has done well for us the whole season. How the fu ck can you fault him for the first goal if it wasn't even his fault?

Have you seen Almunia kick the ball out when we're under pressure? He probably strikes the ball the farthest and cleanest of any goalkeeper in the EPL. He is also good at making saves. He can work some on intercepting crosses and set pieces but other than that I am satisfied with Almunia.

Or Liverpool.

I actually wouldn't mind if Chelsea won it, my hate for them has gone recently.
I rather Liverpool win it than Chelsea or MU. Schalke is my last hope for a smaller team to win it. If they beat Barca I hope they win it all. I was hoping for Fener to beat Chelsea and win the CL.

I think you have been watching the wrong team, Almunia's kicking is terrible, in fact in one game he failed to get ball over the halfway line.
The first goal came as a result of him not letting the ball go out for a goal kick.
He is very indecisive in his area, coming out when he shouldn't, punching instead of catching etc, even his positioning for Babel's goal last night was terrible.
As far as positioning and decisiveness I'll tell you this. Almunia looks to be one of the sharpest keepers in the EPL as far as mechanics are concerned. Van Der Sar, Cech, Cudicini are the only keepers I rate higher than him. His first season at the top though. He'll be way better next year. I guarantee it. Almunia saved our ass this season didn't he?

Aluminium should go. There is one guy who was worse than Eboue. Mad Jerns was not wrong in saying the better keeper was on the bench. A lot of the recent matches required someone with unshakable temperament not a bundle of nerves like Aluminium. The man is way over thirty but plays like he is 17.
Oh **** off with your campaign against Almunia. Almunia is thrity one by the way.
