Too early to tell considering injuries and stuff, but expected Porto line-up:

Helton
Sapunaru - Pedro Emanuel(C) - Bruno Alves - Fucile
Tomas Costa - Raul Meireles
Lucho
Lisandro Lopez - Hulk - Cristian Rodriguez

Josh, I thought Lucho was captain?
Only when Pedro Emanuel had a season long injury. Lucho is the 2nd captain. Bruno Alves is 3rd.

It seems Porto has an unfair advantage :lazy:.
lol :D

His name's Givanildo Vieira da Souza, but he goes by Hulk and that's what is on his jersey.

Eurocups are different.....not saying that Porto is not fav they should win at home as Fener will win at home against them anyway.

Someone talk about 6-0,that is not going to happen,2-1 my prediction.
kleber, your bias against Futebol Clube do Porto is so obvious that I doubt anybody really takes you seriously.

Not that I don't think Fener could win, but you've predicted us to lose every away game since I can remember.

We were supposed to lose away to Marseille, we were supposed to lose to the "best crowd in Europe" against Besiktas, we were supposed to lose to everybody, right? Most of all, of course, that we were supposed to lose to Benfica at da Luz yet shut them out and you got 1 shot on goal... yikes.

Your track record is about as impressive as Dynamite Kievo's football.

porto's defense this year is pretty shaky, fucile is very average, sapunaru i still dont know how he got a place in porto's team ( famous for its quality defenders) and both bruno alves and pedro emanuel are far from being 1st class
Yikes Ana. I know you watch little of the other teams, but come on.

- Fucile is suspended for this game.
- Pedro Emanuel is on the bench now due to Rolando's progression.
- Bruno Alves is a fantastic defender, what in the world are you talking about? Named defender of the season in our league, and absolutely eats big forwards alive.

raul meireles is all muscle, no brains
Raul Meireles and muscle in the same line? :howler: He's one of my favourite players, but he's weak physically and gets knocked off the ball. He's in fact the exact opposite of what you're describing him as, and that's why he's now a regular starter for the national team. Raul Meireles is all brains and setting the tempo of the game, a two way midfielder who can tackle and also score with his long shots.

Good game guys, you played some nice stuff after you made it a 1 goal game. The difference for me was having Lucho control the midfield as you didn't have that same general on your side. Diego Lugano had a great game until he started losing his mind and yelling at referees/players too much.

You could've definitely gotten the penalty call when Bruno Alves dragged the player down, but Porto also missed several quality chances that could have buried this game well beyond 2-0 early on.

See you in Istanbul, let's hope the Arsenal slip up again and both our teams get through.

Porto is nothing special.
You are proven over and over to be a complete laughing stock. How do you even show your face anymore when you're wrong every single day? :dielaugh:

Lucho is such an amazing player, how long will Porto keep this guy? He hasnt lost one single ball during the 90 mins.
Lucho signed a contract extension two weeks ago that goes until 2012 when he will be 31 years of age. We only owned 50% of his transfer until last summer when we bought the other 50%. The club have no interest in selling the player and it does not appear as if he's an anxious to explore other leagues like some of our previous stars have been. Hopefully Lucho continues to captain us for many years to come.

I predict 2-1.

And everyones knows that porto will not win in Ukraine or Turkey.
'Everyone knows?'

Knock it off. Just last season we went and got 4 of 6 points in two of Europe's more hostile atmospheres; away to Besiktas and Marseille.

As I said from the beginning, I want max points at home against Fener and Kiev, and then 4 of 6 on the road. I expect the win to be in the Ukraine, not in Turkey.
