StoryManchester City have signed Malaga goalkeeper Willy Caballero.
The Argentine, 32, joined on a three-year deal for a fee believed to be in the region of £6m excluding add-ons.
Caballero, who played under City boss Manuel Pellegrini at Spanish side Malaga, was in Manchester on Monday morning to finalise the deal.
He becomes the champions' third signing of the summer after the arrivals of midfielder Fernando from Porto and former Arsenal right-back Bacary Sagna.
Caballero is expected to provide back-up and competition for England number one Joe Hart.
He's obviously worked with Pellegrini before, so I'll trust his judgement. Be interesting to see how Joe Hart responds, because this is definitely a top class challenger. Would've liked to see us bring a home grown keeper in, but the reality is that you're never going to find one as good as Willy for £6m (or any price, tbf).
