All I can say, I don't have good feelings about this year. There will be no cup or even semifinals. However wouldn't be surprised with any outcome, as we already know it doesn't mean jack anyway. :)

you mean no semifinal for Inter?

I think if anything Inter is more than capable of winning the entire tournament the only question is why should they bother. It is not as if there's a reward for it. Khodukin clearly doesn't want to risk losing the championship so I think he's going to take it easy. If they win, good, if not, not a big deal.

Yes I was talking about Inter and yes I agree why be bother exactly for same reason and I even will go as far as to ask why even bother to participate?!
This tournament degraded to almost nothing. It doesn't go well with our clubs preparation schedule, playing indoors on the carpet presents more future problems and possible traumas. I don't see any upside besides bragging rights which is btw getting old.

Participation is a purely political thing. Everyone wants to keep good relationship with russians and the Russian Football Union. For some very weird reasons Russian football officials are very fond of this tournament. Ironically they can't convince their own teams to take this tournament seriously.

It is like old time "subbotniks" - participation is elective but at the same time you really don't want to miss it :rollani:

This argument, which was valid in 90s, is not convincing anymore. I don't think Finland or even Baltic countries feel that way neither should we. If Russians like this cup so much they should put some money on the table.
"Subbotnik" comparison was funny but nevertheless I missed my share of those in the past and still alive, sometimes you just have to do what is in your best interest. In any case we have to reevaluate our approach in the future.
i wish all the best to "Inter" but honestly wouldn't draw any conclusions based on it results.

loool, I remember my school days. "Subbotnik" was a mandatory thing and you really had to have a damn good excuse if you missed it.

Inter 0-0 Dordoy-Dinamo
There is not much to say, they are talking about unrealized moments, extra time that ref didn't add and so on..
At the end when you playing with kirgiz team there is nothing you can say to justify this result.

«Интер»: Раймундо, Джайлдо, Загорач, Исмаилов, Червенка (Шишкин, 66), Златинов (Гуглиельмоне, 76), Мамедов, Арнаут, Тестемициану, Рубинс, Андаверис
BTW as usual only 2 azeri players in rotation?!

Exactly what I expected.
Never during this tournament I felt like Azerbaijan team plays. At least we don't have to talk about it anymore.

funny that you've mentioned it, but for some reason this year I had a very strange feeling of apathy for this tournament. For me it was like "whatever".

at any rate the tournament is over.
