My question is who would you like to take our free kicks.

We are very lucky to have two players that can strike a dead ball
with such accuracy & pace.

On top of all that Cheva is right footed, and Chino is left footed, so if you foul us on either side of the field your in trouble.

So let me put my question with these circumstances.

1. Both Chino & Cheva are on the field.

2. The foul is committed dead centre of the field, lets say 22 Metres out from goal.

Who would you rather take the free kick?:smileani:

Sorry Chino,

I'm gonna have to side with Chevagol

I would say Recoba, simply because he bends it much more...but on current form Cheva simple because he has scored FK's lately for the NT.:)

I would be happy with both;)

Hard question because Chevanton is doing really good. But look at my nick ;)

The good thing of Alvaro is that he can also put the ball in the head of some forward so precisely. So the plus of a Recoba kick is that if he doesn't score he does an excellent center (is this the best translation for "centro" in soccer?).

I really am starting to become an admirer of Chevanton. The guy has to be more underated than any other serie a player. He has the ability to be a leader, a crowd pleaser and overall a class act that has the heart of a lion.

Honestly, these 2 guys make me want to watch Serie A just based on what I've seen, since they seem to always try to make the game more open, attractive than it really is. If Serie A had more players like these than the league would be unstoppable; I mean that!

Anyhow on the poll, I think Chevanton would be the best option to score a goal. He has like 4 wonder goals from there for Lecce, plus that goal vs. Bolivia has no words to describe it. With Recoba you have an almost perfect cross that can be the best in the world at times.

I think you guys have nothing to worry about in that department:star:

I
Plus the goal agaisnt Paraguay
Plus the goal against Chilie.

He already has 3 goals from free kicks in the WCQ.
All beauties.

I have to agree that Chino is much better for crosses, into the box.

But what do you guys think about corners?

I have been watching a few Lecce games, and I really like the way Cheva swings them in.

& he forced Dida to make a good save from another one 35 metres out.

If you take into account the number of goals he's scored in WCQ, plus the ones with Lecce. I can honestly say, that right now, he is the best free kick specialist in the world.

I'm not saying he's going to keep it up, or he was a year ago, but considering the last 6 months, nobody has been scoring goals at that ratio, from spot kick.

I can't think of anybody who has.

Also he never misses by a large volume. Everyone of his kicks come very close to goal. Not like Recoba's, who's free kicks either
dip really well, or don't.
