English First Division leader Charlton is set to make a bid to sign Man Utd's striker Teddy Sheringham at the end of the season.

Charlton will offer the 33-year-old Sheringham a two-year contract worth 3 million pounds ($4.8 million). The money would be split equally between the player's wages and a signing-on fee.

I spoke to a Charlton fan about this and he said that they ( the fans ) don't want him because he used to play for Millwall.
