Barca leading against Dynamo deservedly at half time, could have scored more than 1

Dynamo Kiev were hopeless, Stegen was on vacation really.

Big comeback for Man U against Atalanta, had Man U lost at home they would have been fecked. Anyhow Atalanta still in a decent position to make it, 9 points from Man U and Villarreal at home and Young Boys away is doable, and they don't even need 9 points, 6 will do.

Man U will visit Atalanta and Villarreal.. tricky trips. Must at least get a point from one of them and obviously beat Young Boys at OT which is doable.

Malmo the worst team in the Groupstage clearly.

Well yeah anyone who loses 3-2 after leading 2 up can be called a choker, but compare the cost of the 2 squads, incomparable. Atalanta are doing well to compete with a club of Man U's calibre and financial strength

Btw that scenario reminded me of the famous Man U comeback v juve in Turin in their Treble season in 98-99.

Besiktas giving Malmo a run for their money for the unfancied title of worst team in the CL groupstage this season. 4 losses from 4 matchdays.

Liverpool and Ajax join Bayern and juve in last 16. All 4 with perfect records. Liverpool doing that in the group of death too...

Ajax getting 6 points off Dortmund is pretty impressive, can they have another run like the one to the semis in 18-19? Antony looks like a handful, involved in all 3 goals at Dortmund earlier tonight.

Barca had a huge win in Kiev on Tuesday evening after a powerful Fati finish. Barca v Benfica in matchday 5 will be decisive.

If this is after the equalizer it's ok/normal, they were losing, scored and have time to win the match. If it's after the game that's another thing. Looks like something from a live update so probably a during the match moment tbh

Manchester United win at Villarreal and qualify to the last 16 with a match to spare. Man U are in a good position to win the group when they host Young Boys at OT. Man U just need a point to mathematically win the group. Contrasting fortunes compared to their domestic campaign.

The Atalanta v Villarreal match in matchday 6 will decide who joins the Red Devils. A game that will be good.

Good second half goals from CR and Sancho, both on the counter after Villarreal lost the ball cheaply. Particularly the first goal... so much for building from the back by goalies. Just boot it if your players are pressed. I believe Fred was the player who was involved in both goals.

De Gea deserves credit though for keeping it 0-0 til Man U capitalised on Villarreal errors to score

Bayern won their 5th match out of 5, they will want to beat Barca in Munich in matchday 6 to keep a 100% record in the group.

Barca v Benfica later tonight is huge. Barca win, they are through. Barca draw or lose they are pretty much out as Benfica are expected to beat Dynamo in Lisbon in matchday 6 and Barca won't win in Munich.

If Tigerheart was still posting he would have raved about Muller's dummy on the goal of Coman in Kiev. Pretty smart play.

Demir looks like a decent player.

Stegen saved Barca's ass on a Yaremchuk header, but Barca overall had more chances.

Barca 0-0 Benfica

Obviously Barca no longer have MSN or Eto'o, Henry and Villa... totally different quality nowadays

Barca pretty much out despite being 2nd now

Barca 7 pts
Benfica 5 pts

But Barca visit Bayern while Benfica host Dynamo, so most likely it will be Benfica 8 and Barca 7. EL for Barca.

When was the last time they exited in groups? 98-99 ? When they had Man U and Bayern ?

Young Boys and Atalanta drawing means that Man U have already won their group btw even if they lose to Young Boys.

As expected, the most balanced group. Anything can happen in matchday 6.

00/01 when Leeds finished 2nd. Can't think of any since then.

Would be their first EL since 03/04 too. Mad.

Even a draw not enough for Barca if Benfica win cos of H2H. Unless Bayern play a really 2nd string side.

I guess Bayern will want to eliminate Barca AND finish the group with 100% record, so I think they will field a strong team. It's a big game still even if Barca are not what they used to be.

Well done to Sporting. Didn't expect them to qualify ahead of Dortmund. If Benfica qualify ahead of Barca and Porto ahead of Atletico and Milan it would remarkable to see 3 Portuguese clubs in CL last 16
