Group A: Bayern, Atlético Madrid, Salzburg, Lokomotiv Moskva
Group B: Real Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk, Internazionale, Mönchengladbach
Group C: Porto, Manchester City, Olympiacos, Marseille
Group D: Liverpool, Ajax, Atalanta, Midtjylland
Group E: Sevilla, Chelsea, Krasnodar, Rennes
Group F: Zenit, Dortmund, Lazio, Club Brugge
Group G: Juventus, Barcelona, Dynamo Kyiv, Ferencváros
Group H: Paris, Manchester United, Leipzig, İstanbul Başakşehir

Barca v Juve and Pool v Atalanta might be cool. Group H looks like the toughest to qualify from.

Wonder which "top" team will concede 7 or 8 goals in a single match this season.

No one outside of Germany really knew Flick before he replaced Kovac though... and Flick ended up winning the Treble.

If it wasn't for last minute equalisers against Inter and Real Madrid, Gladbach could have been looking at 9 points from 3 games. Still, the draws were not bad results by any means. 4-0 at HT against Shakhtar, so if they can win their next fixture against them they have 8 points.

Makes the Inter - Real Madrid fixtures all the more intriguing.

Sevilla, Chelsea, Barca and juve mathematically through to the last 16 with 2 matchdays to spare. The 4 teams barely tested though, easy groups that they were expected to walk and they did.

Liverpool through after beating Ajax at Anfield, saw highlights and their young goalie was immense!

Ajax v Atalanta and Salzburg v Atletico in matchday 6 will be great games. Atalanta and Atletico just need to draw, while Ajax and Salzburg need to win to go through.

Of course the crazy group we are in is going to the wire...

City and Porto through already in first and second place respectively

Bayern have as many points currently (13) as Atletico (6) + Salzburg (4) + Lokomotiv (3)...

I guess Bayern can win CL again this season.. unless CR7 has other ideas.

Scandalous officiating by Orsato at Old Trafford in Man U v PSG

Fred only gets booked for a headbutt when PSG are a goal up

If PSG get eliminated then Orsato played a big part

Coincidentally last season the same ref denied PSG a penalty in the CL final

Shit ref, just retire.

PSG went on to win at OT despite the shitty refereeing of Orsato and they would seal qualification with a home win against Basaksehir which is something they should manage

Leipzig v Man U for 1 ticket to last 16. Draw will do for Man U but Leipzig must win, if PSG and Leipzig win then Man U go to EL.

Solskjaer should have subbed off Fred at HT. Idiotic not to.

Martial missed an open goal in the second half at 1-1. Costly. And Cavani unlucky to hit the bar with a fine lob against his ex team.

PSG started the second half slow but showed more urgency and improved.

Brilliant coaching to take off Martial, Rashford and Cavani when you are losing btw

Another point, Marquinhos saved a certain Man U goal then scored a huge goal for PSG. Lucky goal but he was at the right place at the right time. And PSG deserved a bit of luck after bad refereeing and the Danilo og.

The 6 games to watch in matchday 6:

Real v Monchengladbach
Inter v Shakhtar
Salzburg v Atletico
Ajax v Atalanta
Leipzig v Manchester United
Lazio v Brugge

There's also Barca v juve, but both are through already. juve can still top the group if they win 3-1, 4-2 etc.. at Nou Camp.

in 1985, Mönchengladbach beat Real Madrid by 5-1

that said, Tatabánya beat Real Madrid too, 2-1, in 1981 iirc

Teams that are through,

Bayern
City
Porto
Liverpool
Chelsea
Sevilla
Barcelona
Juventus

Teams likely to go through,

Dortmund (only loss against Zenit and a Club Brugge victory will knock them out)
Lazio (must avoid defeat at home against Club Brugge)
PSG (Must win against Istanbul at home)

Teams duking it out for the final 5 spots in the round of 16,

Ajax - Atalanta (Atalanta are through if they avoid a defeat)
Salzburg - Atletico (Atletico are through if they avoid a defeat)

Inter-Shakthar and Real-Gladbach
Inter are through if they win and Gladbach-Real does not end in a draw. All teams still have a chance to qualify.

RB Leipzig - Manchester United
Leipzig must win, Man U are through if they avoid a defeat. Taking into account that PSG will most likely win against Istanbul.

No mate, Dortmund can afford to lose and still finish above Brugge as they won both games against the Belgians so have superior hth. So Dortmund are through as they are guaranteed at worst to finish second.

No problem, Dortmund probably won't lose to Zenit anyhow. They will try to win the group to avoid facing City/Liverpool/Chelsea (can't get Bayern in last 16)

Curiously, in the Brugge v Dortmund game in Belgium, Belgians had a hand in all 3 Dortmund goals

Thorgan Hazard scored, Witsel and Meunier assisted.
