I always thought he was a great defender, but I thought Cannavaro's performance in this last tournament was absolutely incredible. In particular, I think his performance in the Holland game was one of the most incredible defensive performances I've ever seen. The whole defense performed wonderfully, but Cannavaro was the man of the match in my opinion (with all due respect to Toldo).

As far as his mistake at the end of the final - it's hard to blame him after the performance he gave the entire tournament.
