Guys, I need your help.

As I don't get to watch many games, only 3 this season actually (pretty lousy, eh :D), I count on everyone here (NB: everyone who has the chance of watching games on a regular basis), to enlighten me... :)

About the following teams, I'd like to know...
  • 1) What is the usual line-up? Is mine correct?
    2) What would be your personal line-up, based on form?
    6) Which players are having an awful season?
    4) Which players are kicking some serious ass?
    5) Who do you see in Europe in a couple of years?
    6) About my auxiliary questions for each team.
=================================

1) RIVER PLATE - [3-4-1-2]

----------------- Comizzo ---------------------
Garcé ----------- Ayala ---------------- Lequi
Coudet -- Husain -- Cambiasso -- Zapata
-------------- D'Alessandro -------------------
--------- Ortega ------- Cavenaghi ---------

Questions:
- How do you rate Fonseca's and Esnaider's season?
- Has Ortega made himself indispensable to River?
- I need to know more about Fernando Cavenaghi...

=================================

2) BOCA JUNIORS - [4-4-2]

------------------ Abbondancieri ---------------
Forchetti -- Burdisso -- Crosa -- Rodriguez
Battaglia ----------- Serna -------- Marchant
--------------------- Riquelme ------------------
------- Schelotto -------------- Delgado ------

Question:
- How's Riquelme doing? ;)

=================================

3) RACING - [3-5-2]

--------------- Campagnuolo ----------------
Maciel --------- Loeschbor --------- Ubeda
Vitali ------------- Bastia ----------- Bedoya
----- Schelotto ------------ Chatruc --------
---------- Estevez ------- Maceratesi ------

=================================

4) SAN LORENZO - [4-3-1-2]

--------------------- Saja --------------------
Serrizuela -- Ameli -- Capria -- Paredes
Pusineri -------- Michelini ----------- Erviti
--------------- Leo Rodriguez --------------
---------- Estevez ----- Romagnoli -------

Question:
- I need to know more about Leandro Romagnoli...

Voilà...
I hope you'll find some time to answer my many questions.
Thanks in advance.

:)

a few changes. ricardo rojas instead of lequi and ledesma instead of husain.
well, fonseca is no longer a river player. he is in nacional of montevideo (uruguay).
esnaider is having a terrible season. he is good, no doubt, but no luck so far. just one goal since his arrival in official games.
yes, ortega is esential to river. when he is on fire, any team in the world should regret not having him in its squad.
ledesma, comizzo and ortega arehaving a great season.
the player i most like, is cambiasso (then coudet and ortega).

calvo instead of forchetti, bracamonte instead of delgado, and traverso instead of marchant. and IMO from now on tevez will play instead of traverso.
bracamonte is a centre foward. he is palermos type. tall, strong and with good header. he has scored 5 goals in 6 matches. pretty good so far.
tevez is bocas new jewel. a really skillful and fast player. he can play as a playmaker or as a supporter striker. put an eye on him.

riquelme has not been playing lately, but we all know what he can do.

no time, i just wanna say that romagnoli is a playmaker, and that erviti is an awesome player. one of the most talented around here. i also like estevez very much.
and alberto acosta (ex sporting lisboa) plays as the centre foward.

this is pretty well. but maceratesi is not the starter every match. sometimes is milito he second foward. and imho. he is a very good and skillful player.
the best player, has been the GK campagnuolo. he was essential for racing to get the last championship, and last season in san lorenzo he was also a reaaly important player. he should get a real chance in the NT (he was called a few times)
the second best player has been, (very close to campagnuolo) adrian "el polaco"(the polish) bastia. he is the warior of the midfield. but he is not just heart, he also has a good vision and touch. he is racings symbol (fans love him). his tranfer to a french team was almost done in the begining of this tournament. but then it was canceled.
another good player is chatruc. he scores, is an smart player, has a good ball control and a good bribbling. btw, he scored an awesome goal last sunday.
this season, racing has not been the same team it was the last tournament, even though the team is basically the same.

instead of pusineri you should have put franco. he is one the best SL players. strong, fast and scores a lot. really a good player.

well romagnoli is the starting playmaker, but now he is injured and he was sell to a swiss team . the centre foward is alberto federico acosto, ex boca, ex sporting lisboa. a veterasn player right now, but still good enough.

like i said, walter ervitti is one of the most gifted players around argentina, IMHO. really a classy player, with a great ball control.
he is the best "tirador de caños" (dont know to say it in english, help czar) (try to explain: when you pass the ball between the two legs of the opponent), even better than riquelme.
then raul "el pipa" estevez. i really like this player. his work is to create goal situations and assist acosta. with his speed and dribbles he makes his job really great. not much recognized here in argentina, but i really like him.

saja is a young keeper. IMHO, he s good but not that good, at least yet. a good future.

There other great player in other teams, like matias vuoso of independiente and sacripanti of newells. this last one has scored 7 goals so far, in 8 matches (not sure) and he seems to be a good prospect. he is around 19.

just one thing, bracamonte scored another goal last sunday. so there are 7 in 8 matches.
and btw, you gotta see riquelmes goal.

Ameli has left San Lorenzo. He plays now for Internacional Porto Alegre Brazil. His spot in the team has been taken by Paraguayan Claudio Morel Rodriguez.

Other players having a good season: Claudio Enría, Mariano Messera (Gimnasia La Plata), Ezequiel Maggiolo (Estudiantes), Mauro Obolo, Juan Carlos Olave (Belgrano), Nanni from Vélez (don't remember his first name).

Alejandro "Chori" Dominguez would be having a great season if it weren't for Ramon Diaz's blindness. River was allowed only 3 new players for Clausura and Ramón chose Esnaider, Fonseca and Husain. Dominguez can only play Copa Libertadores. His last game was one month ago, an away win against Tulua 5-2. Chori scored 2 (one a masterpiece, I advice anyone to watch in the net if they can) and 3 assists. When Ortega was banned for 2 games, River could have made great use of him. Not to mention Quilmes, other of my favorite teams, and Chori's former team.

By the way, you asked who we see in Europe in a few years?
Chori would be one of first picks.

Siggy is a slang term for signature, in your case the Napoli song about Diego.

Hi batigold, good that you brought up this thread again.
I have some questions concerning some argi players.

Since Romeo was transfered to SV Hamburg, there were always lots of rumours in the local press that Hamburg is chasing other argentine players to add to their squad.
SV Hamburg is especially looking for a new playmaker, and you can read the following names in the newspapers very often :

1. José Chatruc from Racing
2. Leandro Romagnoli from San Lorenzo
3. Daniel Montenegro from Huracan

Well, i already know a lot about Romagnoli, but what can you tell me about Chatruc and Montenegro ?

1. Which of the 3 players is the best in your opinion ?
2. Is Chatruc really a playmaker or a right sided midfielder ?
3. What would be the transfer fees for these players ? I read that San Lorenzo is asking 3-3,5 Mio $ for Romagnoli, how expensive are Chatruc and Montenegro ?
4. Final question :D : Is Mariano Messera better than all of them ?

well, firstly, all those players are good.

if i have to pick one for my team i think i would take Leandro Romagnoli. his way of playing is similar to aimars. he is skinny, but really skillful. i dunno if he would fit into the bundesliga.

jose chatruc is not playing as a playmaker in racing. in fact in remember he was asked about what position he plays, and he answered, he doesnt know.:D anyway, i dont see him with the skills enough to be a great playmaker. i would play him as an offensive midfielder, but i wouldnt leave the creative job to him.

daniel "el rolfi" montenegro, is quite skilfull with a great long and short range shot. he played in france and spain, but he didnt have a good time. anyway he is still young (around 22), and he could have a better opportunity with more playing minutes.

mariano messera, he is playing in Gimnasia y Esgrima de la Plata. eventhough he is young (around 24) he has a great experience in first division. he has been quite colse of getting the championship several times with his team but they always fell down in the last matchs against the big teams. he is skillful and a bit stronger than romagnoli (but as tall as him). but nothing special. i wouldnt rate him as a riquelme for example.

like i said, if i were u, i would take "el pipi" romagnoli, but germany is too phisical. another thing, is that he alredy knows romeo, since thay have played together in San Lorenzo.

about prices, well, after devaluation prices here are much lower.
but i still think that romagnolis transfer fee would be around 5-7 mill, and not 3 like you read. i can be wrong but before devaluation his transfer was around 15 mill.
about the other, they would be around 3 mill.

sorry i couldnt write more about them. i hope this can help you.
