Fancy Ivory Coast with there attacking power, but with their defence DRC will have a chance.

DRC's defence is exactly their weakest point. It will be a clash of two good attacking sides which are both weak defensively.

True, guess I just expect better from Ivory Coast.

Missed the first half an hour but hopefully the rest of the game will be as open as this.

CIV makes 2-1 at 42' through Gervinho assisted by Bony after they stole a ball from DRC's defensive midfield.

CIV leads 2-1 at half time. Just saw the last 15' but I probably saw the most positive football of the whole tournament during this quarter.

The second half was already on for more than one minute when CIV's Serge Aurier strolled back into the field. :D

What a fantastic ride by Bolasie only stopped by the keeper, whom once again play acts pretending to be fouled.

And at 68' after a corner Kanon makes the 3-1 to Ivory Coast.

Ivory Coast wins 3-1 and they are in the final. Their experience and overall individual quality spoke higher but I really liked this DR Congo team - very positive football on the contrary to trend of this tournament.

The Cote d'Ivoire goalie (made a couple of important saves), Bony (involved in 2 goals), Yaya (involved in 2 goals), Gervinho (involved in 2 goals) and Aurier (involved in 2 goals) were key to that win.

so the goals are starting to fall in the knockout stage :D
That's because the teams that went through except for Guinea (who went through on a technicality) and Eq. Guinea (who had a weak group) are the ones that are playing the most positive, attack minded football out of everyone that was in the tournament. Doesn't surprise me that we're seeing higher scores once you take out teams like Mali, Burkina Faso, and Cameroon from the equation, they're the ones usually most responsible for the 0-0s and 1-1s in these tournaments. :lala:

Didn't get to see the game, but looks like a similar story to CIV's win on Sunday. Deserved place in the final, hopefully Ghana will join them there. Should be one of the better AFCON finals in recent times.
