It's Official !

According to CNN and Rai Teletext, we just signed 25 year-old Argentine midfielder Mauro Camoranesi from relegated Hellas Verona for a fee of $ 4.5m aswell as Max Vieri's loan out to the Adigian club.

Seems like a good dela to me. He's surely a good reinforcement for the midfield. Haven't seen much of him to be really honest, but he's among the best of last season rating-wise, he even netted a couple of goals.

Opinion of people who have had the opportunity to see him a couple of times, perhaps? C'mon I wanna know everything. What's the place on the pitch he fancies the most? What are his passing skills? His speed? The name of his goldfish? Everything.

Ciao.

Find it wierd. Why another right winger?

Currently, players at Juve who can play in that inside wide right position are:

Zambrotta
Baiocco
Conte
And now Camoranesi

Who's going to be first team and is anybody leaving?

Baiocco can play in centre midfield or even in the inside left wide position. But he sure do play really well on the right side rather.

Conte can play in the middle, but looks pretty poor there. The right wide side is better for him.

Zambrotta is currently injured but he'll be back soon.

This overstaffing on the right midfield wing is puzzling.

Just one thing, I believe that M. Vieri was sold to Verona...

Could be a good buy. Doubt he'll be a regular, but you never know.

There's nothing wrong with a bit of competition in the squad, something I felt we lacked last season, as far as the midfield goes at least.

BTW, didn't he score against us in the 2-2 draw in Verona?

I haven't seen this guy yet. He seems to be an Italian origin, and is he a good player?
Can he really replacae Zambrotta?
Neither me nor anyone can answer these questions, so let's just time show everything.

Several: Gazzetta.it, soccerage.com, daylisoccer.com, calciomanager.it.

Just an example:
"
...
Meanwhile, still waiting a definitive decision about Cannavaro, Juventus yesterday closed another market transfer deal: the Turin side bought Argentinean midfielder, Mauro German Camoranesi from Verona. The player signed a 4-year contract and will earn 600.000 Euros a season. Juventus will pay 4,5 millions euros to Verona and they'll also transfer Max Vieri (brother of Inter forward Christian)"

Maybe I undesrtand it wrong...;)

Hmm, difficult to be affirmative 'bout this, espectro.

As far as I'm concerned, my first source was CNN and they clearly specified that it was a loan move. And this loan policy seems more likely, Moggi does that all the time with youngsters... :)

Hi there! ;)

I have seen 5-6 Verona games for the last two seasons.
Surely it's no way enough to express that competent opinion, but Camoranesi was quite ok to me, quite ok.

Steph,
I read the news in soccerage and they said that is a part ownership... but the again soccerage is not a very reliable site...
I guess we will have to wait to juventus.com to announse the signing... I try to check it, but the site is down or something

Well i guess he is one of a long line of players in which we specialise in buying, Oneill, Maresca, Baiocco, Fresi etc. He may turn out to be a good buy then again he might not, but i am sure he is not one of the players that most juve fans were expecting or hopeful for

I don't agree. Conte is 33 years old and I don't think his condition could be enough for pull the weight of right wing.

Bioccolo isn't a right winger.

Zambi out of action about 3 months.

I think Camoranesi is a usefull addition to squad (for substitude of Zambi of course)

But is he aggressive like an Eriberto or more workman like?

I would lover to see a 4-2-3-1 formation with:

ERIBERTO___NEDVED___DEL PIERO

____________TREZ_____________

and keep Zambo because he is so versatile.

i have watched some verona games and this guy impressed me much.his skill is great,he is underslung so that he can play around those stodgy defenders easily(i appreciated he once play around iuliano)i think it's a return that juventus didn't get morfeo.
