Sunderland striker Patrick Mboma has been included in Cameroon's 23-man World Cup finals squad despite an Achilles tendon injury.

Coach Winfried Schaefer has put his faith in the same players that clinched the African Nations Cup in Mali earlier this year.

Parma's Mboma, currently on loan at English Premiership side Sunderland, had been in doubt after a spell on the sidelines through injury but he is arguably the side's best player and his presence alone lifts the 'Indomitable Lions'.

The African champion is strongly tipped as an outside chance for the World Cup but must first get past Germany, the Republic of Ireland and Saudi Arabia in Group E.

I like the sleeveless jerseys, they make them look hard as nails somehow.
