Greek natioinal team coach Vassilis Daniel called the following players for the friendly game against Romania. The game will be played at Bucurest,Romania on June 3nd.

The players:

Eleftheropulos (Olympiakos)
Atmatzidis (AEK)
Nikopolidis (Panathinaikos)

Amanatidis (Olympiakos)
Goumas (Panathinaikos)
Basinas (Panathinaikos)
Kassapis (AEK)
Dabizas (Newcastle United-England)
Venetidis (PAOK)
Ouzounidis (Paniliakos)

Poursanidis (Olympiakos)
Niniadis (Olympiakos)
Georgatos (Inter Milan-Italy)
Zikos (AEK)
Mavrogenidis (Olympiakos)
Georgiadis (PAOK)
Tsartas (Sevilla-Spain)

Liberopulos (Panathinaikos)
Nalitzis (PAOK) :)
Kiparissis (Xanthi)

Well, generally its a good call up although I expected mnore new faces and some experiments. But it seems that Daniel wants to motivate the squad and pick a stable formation.Still I fail to understand why he keeps ignoring Patsatzoglu from Xanthi,Papadopulos from Aris and Konstadinidis from PAOK.WHY HE INSISTS CALLING GOUMAS and BASINAS? they are hardly national team material! Thank god he didnt call Anatolakis...

Probably starting line up:

Atmatzidis (Why not Eleftheropulos? :()
Nalitzis (or Kiparissis)-Liberopulos

Any given Sunday, you either win or loose. That's FOOTBALL...

Hehe, looks like it's going to be the same lineup that kicked our ass in Athens. It's going to be an interesting game as Romanian will be pumped about Euro 2000 campaign. Good luck. Hopefully, your Greeks won't injure anyone :)
