The best player from the young lot in Holland?

He's Van Gaal's first name on the teamsheet when it comes to defenders.
Almost scored an own goal against Turkey :D but came storming back jumping on top of Van Gaal after the 2-0 :proud:

Two assists going forward against Belgium on his debut. He's definitely progressed quickly.

He was funny to look at the beginning of last season at Feyenoord. His passing was ridiculous but it was clear that he was strong for his age. Since then his passing has improved, even when he plays at LB.

He was born in Portugal btw. His parents come from Guinea Bissau but he has lived in Rotterdam since he was 3 months old. Obviously a product of Feyenoord.

Bruno Martins Indi was raised in Holland

I guess you're referring to Douglas. Similar story to Eduardo really. Married a Dutch woman, lived here for 5 years so he's perfectly eligible. I doubt he'll play though. He's below Martins Indi, Vlaar, Heitinga, Mathijsen and Stefan de Vrij in the pecking order and has only been called up to the latest squad because of injuries to the last two. He in all likelihood won't feature against Andorra and Romania.
The Dutch NT is hardly getting any better by picking Douglas :D like I've said he's Titus Bramble 2.

:D Even the Dutch Spidey?

I don't think Holland have been known all across the board for their "pure" Dutch players in the past have they? lol.

He has no links with Brazil of course apart from Brazil being an ex colony of Portugal.

Im talking about Douglas sorry for the wrong thread..Just sad to see so many European countries incorporating Brazilians..
The only thing stopping it would be to make this longer, like to ten for example

FIFA states that a player must have continuous residence in the country he wants to switch allegiance to for five years
this rule only being changed from 2 to 5 years in 2008 when Qatar wanted to pick a whole team of random South Americans it had handed passports out to

Wonder if Nuytink is being watched by Louis.

For sure the Donk won't be though :D after promising reports in the beginning

Scored against Beerschot though :righton:

Don't think Louis rates the Belgian league that highly.

Louis :proud:

He knows how to spot proper talent. And clearly Rotterdam is the place to be for that atm. Best player in England comes from the same academy. Can't go wrong there. :shades:

As for BMI, a rock, hard as nails, still reasonably fast and constantly improving as a footballer. One more season at Feyenoord please and a big move after the 2014 WC.
