What an emotional win in Lecce today for Brescia Calcio! Roby Baggio once again proved that all play runs through him, as he orchestrated the first goal and assisted the second, opening up play for the struggling squad from the moment of his return to the pitch. Luca Toni's 2 goals and Fillipini's brilliant effort was topped only by the t-shirts that read "Ciao Vito." It was obviously dedicated to the tragic loss of #13 Vittorio Mero, who died Wednesday in a tragic car accident.
The dramatic win by Brescia lifts them out of the relegation zone at 22 points. Baggio looked overjoyed at his return. The club also received good news this week that Guardiola will return in March. It has made the semi-finals of Coppa Italia. The club recently picked up a veteran, underrated defender, Mangone, that has helped to stabilize the backline. Both Guardiola and Baggio will be going all out to make World Cup teams. The future is looking bright for Brescia, alotho we will never forget our beloved #13. The season and the Cup are dedicated to him. I see the hunger back in Roby Baggio's eyes. What an effort to get that ball to Toni!!! Amazing.
VOLA ROBY BAGGIO, VOLA.
