Dorival Junior is the new coach of Fortaleza.
Andre Lima (Vasco) will move to GBA (Belgium). Vasco may get Alex Dias(Goias).
Marinho and Fabiano are not going to remain with Atletico-PR. The club is trying to get Muricy Ramalho to be his coach and Reginaldo Nascimento and Alemão, both from Coritiba.
Zetti is already the new coach of Sao Caetano. Petkovic is close to Fluminense. Fabiano Eller may return also from Qatar to play for Flu.
Ariztizabal, colombian that until this year played here, signed with Atletico Nacional and returned home.

According to the news, Flamengo's keeper Julio Cesar may sign with Internazionale Milano to replace Toldo, and most probably be loaned to some other club until the middle of the year... Flamengo hopes that this loan will be with them, but it's more likely that he'll go to a minor Serie A team to speed up his adaptation.

Vasco is negotiating with Cruzeiro to sell them goalkeeper Fabio in exchange for striker Alex Dias (who was on loan to Goias for the Brasileiro, and was the 2nd top goalscorer of the competition) and some cash. :greed: At this point Cruzeiro is the most likely destination for Fabio, they're just negotiating what Vasco will get for him.

Hugo de Leon is the new coach of Gremio. Julio Cesar Leal the new coach of Flamengo. Rene Simao is the new coach of Vitoria.
Figuerense signed Wagner(Atletico-MG)
(Side note, Flamengo deserves hell. After all this year they bring a virtual nobody - however more experient - to coach his team instead of giving Andrade a chance. That is ridiculous)

Inter line up Julio Cesar Friday 24 December, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brazilian ‘keeper Julio Cesar will be signed by Inter in January, according to the player’s representative.

The 25-year-old has been linked with the Nerazzurri over the last month and a deal is on the horizon.

"Negotiations are already at an advanced stage," stated agent Josias Cardoso. "Basically speaking, the only thing missing is a medical."

The Flamengo No 1 and his manager are set to fly to Italy in the New Year but he won’t play for the Italian giants just yet.

"They can’t sign anymore non-EU players at this stage," continued Cardoso. "That leaves us with two options.

"He will either be loaned out to an Italian or Brazilian club. If the latter occurs then Cesar will arrive in Italy next June."

The capture of Cesar, who won the Copa America with Brazil in 2004, suggests that Francesco Toldo is coming to the end of his stint at Inter.

The Italian (pictured) has been heavily criticised, and even dropped from the team this season, after some questionable performances.

Also important: the only team to benefit directly from the punishment to Sao Caetano was Fluminense, representative of the state of Paraiba, hence not a Carioca.

How has Bahia been in the last few games of the championship btw? I read he scored twice for Flamengo in their 6-2 over Cruzeiro on the last day and that he had problems with the board for appearing in a Feyenoord shirt, but sounds like it hasn't effected his form (at least on paper). Can you guys confirm this? and do you reckon he has improved since we last talked about him?

We really need a whole new defence. The Feyenoord defence in the last few months has been terrible hence our fall from title candidates to just UEFA cup hopefuls now and any help is really needed in January :(

:howler: Please, Bordon, you're embarassing yourself with this paranoid obsession.

Reality check... when the court's decision to punish São Caetano was made, the team that benefitted the most was Palmeiras – a team from SP. :wallbang: At that time, Fluminense was still struggling to come close to the Sulamericana-qualification zone. Actually, only at the last round did Flu guarantee the position that earned them the Sulamericana spot. So really, only a completely delusional paranoid would believe that São Caetano's fully-deserved punishment was motivated by a desire to help Flu.

If anything, one could suggest that it was done to help Palmeiras qualify for the Libertadores. But of COURSE, that reality doesn't support your demented "carioca-bashing" conspiracy theory – so you prefer to just ignore it. :rollani:

Despite the fact that the soccer high court is composed exclusively by Cariocas, those honest jurists go out of their way not to benefit clubs from Rio de Janeiro. That is why Fluminense is not from Rio de Janeiro!

By the way, Vasco recently broke a law - that thing that Garrincha holds most dear - and is at risk of being relegated. Now you know, that if Vasco were a club from Rio, the Carioca court would punish it harshly, in order to show its impartiality. But because Vasco is from Goias, the court will show defiance to that unjust law, and let Vasco break it freely. The name of this concept is civil disobedience, and most democrats hold it in high esteem. (Of course, it would be very suspicious if Vasco were a Carioca, but we all know they are Goianos).

Why? Do you think the Carioca court will punish Vasco? They would not do that even if Eurico Miranda invaded the field to put an end to a game :nono: (He actually did it already!)

About the SC punishment, let's make it clear that the final decision was only made, AFTER it was well known by everybody that Paraiba state club Fluminense would be the one to benefit from SC losing the points. That is no proof that the Carioca court was Paraiba-biased, but if they have decided that way, 100 out of the last 100 times, then, well...

Explain to me why I need psychiatric treatment, Garr.

Or else, tell me a single (only one!) consequential case where the Carioca court ruled against Vasco, Fluminense, Botafogo or Flamengo in the last 30 years.

Luz : Flu is carioca but you are being confused by this insane fight who does not belong here.
This is a news stuff, open (actually there is a topic already about this) a topic to talk about the court and I do not want to see prejudice over any brazilian state there. Next messages with this kind of subject will be deleted so:

Cesar Prates is one name in Botafogo's list
Arthison still tries to get someone tricked about his "footbal" and his agents are putting news about him in Cruzeiro and Fluminense in the media.
There is some rumours that Carlos Alberto is having problems in Porto and this may make him move back to here.
