Diego Mauricio was cut from the squad. Big surprise.

Laterais: Danilo (Santos), Galhardo (Flamengo), Alex Sandro (Santos) e Gabriel Silva (Palmeiras)

Zagueiros: Bruno Uvini (São Paulo), Frauches (Flamengo), Romário (Internacional) e Juan (Internacional).

Who are the stand-out stars from this group of players, Ze? I don't know much about the Brazilian U20 stuff, and I'd like to know.

I think Diego Mauricio like Weillington was cut because his club is too damanged from the tournement taking thier players, and not because he's not good\coach didn't want him.

The stadnouts are(or should be) Casemiro, Oscar, and Philippe Coutinho... I really have high hopes from Oscar, this kid really became a star in Internacional this year and plays fantastic football..last tournement he showed flashes but wasn't that good.. this time I expect him to lead the attacking midfield even more then Coutinho and lead Brazil.. he's fast, got a great dribble, a fantastic shot and good crosses and passes.

Watch for Willian Jose who's really a great and talented target-man... his teammate from SP Henrique is also a good striker - fine finisher, good dribble...and Negueba is winger who's just really an energy boost anytime he's on the floor, fast, aggressive although skinny but at times playing with his head against the wall.

Juan the CB who I like although he reminds Pepe in both good and bad(big and athletic, but rash and can be out of controll), his partner(Bruno Uvini) is also a promise but I like Juan more personally as a prospect.

On midfield next to Casemiro I think Fernando will play the more defensive midfielder - he's good on the ball.. and Alan Patrick will prolly be a backup to the offensive midfield.

--------------------------Gabriel-----------------------------------
----------------Uvini-----------------Juan--------------------------
-Danilo-----------------------------------------------Gabriel Silva--
---------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------Casemiro----------Fernando----------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
--Oscar--------------------Alan Patrick----------------Coutinho---
--------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------Willian----------------------------------

Would be my guess.. Alan Patrick and Willian are the odd men out and could be replaced by Dudu and Henrique, but overall 9 are a lock and i'd be suprised not to see them starting.

Alex Sandro is injured right now, so Gabriel Silva will cover for him... Galhardo the RB backup is also very good offensively, but is even worst then Danilo defensively.

Thanks for the reply,. I'll be keeping an eye out for those three players you mentioned. Just one more question :)D). Are there any goalies that could be like the Julio Cesar of the past?

Well I didn't really think highly of Gabriel who's prolly gonna be the num1 keeper.

Casemiro > Oscar > Danilo .. those are the key players from this team...

Coutinho is ok.. but not close to those 3..

Fernando/Willian are good too..

I don't think Danilo at rightback if the 3rd most importent player for this team.

He was one of the worst players in the Sudamericano and was completely skinned everytime on the defensive end... Coutinho is a huge question mark and no-one knows how he'll be, but judging to his past ability in youth setups and his role he can be a key player.

But I can accept not having him as one, cause he's still a question mark.. if not him i'd put Willian Jose/Henrique.

I think he made a mistake their.... I would have cut Henrique and go with Diego Mauricio.

sachervecevog

Stanko pretty much explained everything.

Anyway, we got a good group and should do well. Just not to convinced in our fire power, specially as we are playing without our two big jewels... Neymar & Lucas

Yea but that means he need to pass on someone else from Flamengo..I think they made it maximum 3 from each club not to hurt the clubs too much.

But Weillington would be an absolute starter next to Casemiro in the midfield without a doubt if Sao Paulo wouldn't cry to the CBF.. they've formed the best midfield in the Brasilerao in the first 6 orso rounds.. Fernando is ok but not close to Weillington I think.

Diego Mauricio any other day would be in this squad and prolly starting in the lineup too.. i'd take him over Negueba though - but probably both Flamengo and Sao Paulo asked for Diego Mauricio and Weillington specifically to stay.

It is complicated to spell all that you know:thumbsup::drunk:

Stanko

He should have chopped someone else.... this attack does not look very good IMO:thumbsup:

William is ok..... Henrique is useless and Negueba is a flashy wing type of player.

We need GOALS:thumbsup::drunk::smileani:

Oscar will score goals, don't worry :righton:

But I agree, i'd take Negueba/Henrique out.. although I think Henrique is alright.. I mean in the Sao Paulo games I saw he looked better then Willian when given the chance.

Yup I agreed with you back then, he was poor..was the first time I saw him and he had alot of hype around him that he made me dissapointed - although he always showed in flashes what people hyping him are talking about.

But since then he's been playing like a star for Internacional, simple as that.. he became thier owner on the pitch and probably thier 2nd best player behind Damiao, and lately he was even more importent then him... playing with alot more confidence and experience now what he lacked in the last U-20, where he fell from just about every touch to the ground.

I think he really transformed since then, without Neymar and Lucas he'll take alot more on him and not have to play in anyones shadows.. he'll be my vote for Brazil's best player.

Don't think they're a match for Spain/France tbh WFA.. not without Lucas and Neymar atleast.

But both Argentina(who i'm sure will bring a better squad this time with Lamela included), and Brazil together with the above 2 are my top 4 favs to win.

I'd say Colombia too, but those retards didn't call Edwin Cardona, arguebly thier best player with James Rodriguez.
