This edition seems promising
see the start:

Nautico 2 - 1 Goias
Sao Paulo 0 - 1 Gremio:pp
Vitoria 0 - 2 Cruzeiro:thumbsup:

Interesting detail: Gremio used the usual weapon of SP: bola parada

But some things do not change, O juiz did not give a penalty 100% against SP

Expected results in the first round. Goiás is one of the favourites to be relegated (although I think Náutico is one of them too, but was playing at home), São Paulo didn't use the starting XI against Grêmio and Cruzeiro seems far better than Vitória.

The competition seems really promising, but I'll have to give more attention to Série B this season.

Flu was basically playing with their juniores. Fernando Henrique, as always (except vs Fla), helped Nautico out with a frango.

Ridiculous what happaned in the Nautico and Botafogo game, the laws in this country are absurd so if a player flips the fans he can be arrested? And then a stupid police woman wants to handle the player like a criminal?

André Luis threw a bottle into the crowd and insulted a police officer (it matters f-all if it's a man or a woman in this case). If he wouldn't have been arrested for that then I would be worried with the laws of your country.

Footballers are not above anyone else and he just got what he deserved.

The overzealous behaviour of the police against the rest of Botafogo's team should of course be condemned but I don't see the same wave of condemnation against the police show of strength when they do that to any anonimous person.

O Felipe não fala sem saber, André Luis did not throw a bottle he kicked a water cup and made obscene gestures to the fans, the water cup never reached the fans. (Something that nobody saw actually)

The police was scorting him out since he was thrown out of the game and did not leave. And a female officer decided to twist his hand back for her pleasure. He was going out of the station with the police just fine and then the person decides to treat a person that just fliped fans as if they were criminals.

I wonder how a person can be constrained for that circumstance. That just proves that police should be outside the stadium and not inside, clubs should pay private security since its a private event.

I was following Fla x Flu live last night and heard the comments from the journalists that were there in Recife, as well as the interviews with some of Botafogo's players and with the police, that's where I am basing my opinion on.

Obviously that the Brazilian police is not exactly known by their efficiency but André Luis behaviour was just asking for trouble.

asking for trouble and commiting a crime is two different things, that police officer had no right to act as if she was arresting him. There was no crime commited and he was leaving the stadium with the police.

He did make gestures towards the crowd, and according to what the police said last night what he kicked into the crowd broke some guy's glasses. Besides, we don't know what he told the police when they were taking him but from these images he doesn't seem to be telling them that ke really liked their helmets.
