discuss... :p

So far Diego has been very poor, its seems that Diego and Robinho can´t play well at the same time. One has to be poor for the other to play well.

So far Rochemback has been doing Diegos job, Dagoberto is lost up front and Robinho is creating a lot and even scored a goal in the first half.

The kids were exhausted, they have played once every two days for a week now. Robinho was brilliant in the 1st half and died on the 2nd. Same thing for Diego and Maxwell. The Uruguayan coach is VERY smart and he took advantage of our team's fatigue by making his team cross the ball from one side of the pitch frequently, trying to catch our midfield out of position and forcing them to run.

Wendell isn't doing well either, and that's putting a lot of pressure on Diego, who would be the only creative player in the middle if it weren't for Fabio Rochembach's efforts. If something's wrong in our midfield it's not Diego (who had two players following him at all times preciely because of his importance) but rather the guy who should share the creative responsibilities with the Santos playmaker -- Wendell. ;) Maybe Daniel Carvalho would be better?

Marcel was just simply stupid, he came in to play as target-man and immediately went to the right side, where he proceeded to cross balls for Robinho (with the coach screaming for him to get his ass inside the area). :stress: Either he was hit on the head and got confused or he's truly dimwitted...

Agree about the fatigue part, why was the game so early? I think the temperature made things even worse.

But I disagree about Diego, he has not perfected his flaws like Robinho has after deserved criticism. He keeps diving and holding the ball to much, if he was being marked and tired he should have maid the ball run more and stop running with the ball just to dive after a couple of dribbles.

And yes Daniel Carvalho should be playing.

The good thing is that our defense is pretty good

So did any of Uruguay's youngsters impress you's in particular?
Yes, Estoyanoff (spelling?) was a constant hassle for our defense, being Uruguay's main creative force during the whole game. :) Pretty good player.

Give Diego a break man.... he had 2 brill games against Venezeula & Paraguay, so he is in credit. He felt the good marking of the Uruguayan team. This Uruguayan manager really seems to be very good...... cause their defense was a complete mess agaisnt Chile, and in 4 days he made a very good system.

Uruguay were the best team we have played yet.

Got to give a mention to Fabio Arrocha e Bate, seems to be a better player after he went to Portugal, giving combat, passing, creating opportunities and shooting brilliantly to goal. It will be tough for someone to take that spot from him in the Olympics (provided their are no Over 23 players selected for his position).

Edu Dracena was quite poor in defense IMO.And go to give praise to RObinho, had a brill first half and an ok second half.... would get a better mention if he had not missed so many passes towards the end.

Anyway, now time to go for a draw between Paraguay and Chile tomorrow. It will not be good if PAraguay win, cause then we will have Chile, PAraguay & Uruguay sniffing at us. It is better for a draw between PAraguay & CHile, so we still play for a draw against Chile to finish first in the group and get the automatic spot for the next round

:D sorry but we won't draw..we're going to win:D usually i don't have so much faith in chile but this time is different..we're locals and we're playing very good, very fast (which is a complete revolution) and creating lot of danger specially with our wings..and plus we've a keeper:D so i think we will see a great game on thursday..i really hope brazil can make it and go to athens because i would hate to see the olympics without fabio rochemback:D he's been a great surprise..i hope Barça can bring him back in june:tongue: :D
