Just shows what a bit of tactical nous, determination and team spirit can do for a team. It's not all about money :proud:

What makes it even more amazing is that apart from having kicked out no less than 3 premier league sides, they still managed to overcome the obstacle of playing the semis in two legs which is another invention of modern football to give another extra advantage to stronger sides in cup competitions.

Exactly. In Britain, they are talking about it being the biggest upset ever.. and while i think in some respects Villa were there for the taking, the cup run as a whole is certainly the biggest upset this competition has ever seen. Especially in these days where the big clubs have squads assembled on ridiculous sums of money. To actually reach the final, rather than fall short at the last hurdle as so many smaller teams on these kinds of runs do, is nothing short of amazing.

Some interesting facts to high light. Hanson, the scorer yesterday, was a supermarket worker playing none league football only 3 years ago. He cost £7.500, and is the only player in the entire squad Bradford actually paid a fee for. The rest, free transfers, loans and youth. The club fell from the premier league 11 years ago, having overspent, suffered 2 administrations, were cash bucket collection skint, were relegated down to the 4th tier, where they have been for the best part of 6 years.

It's been a long wait! :proud:

I don't think it can be the biggest upset just because Villa are so horrific.

Still congrats to Bradford, only club in League Two with 5 figure gates, they deserve some success after so many years of toil.
