First off, what is Arsenal's keeper situation? Lehmann's surely done and they can certainly do better than Almunia. Guzan (not Guzman :rollani could slip in there, but to go straight from MLS to Arsenal might be too much. Looking at Tim Howard in the 03-04 season, he did great for ManU, but then dropped off.

At Villa he could certainly secure a starter's spot, I might go for that guarantee.

Howard DIDN'T drop off ...

He was playing behing a lousy defence, especially Sylvestre.
He was made the scapegoat by SAF for all the failings of his defence, IMHO.
