Arsenal has long been "linked" with Brad.

As have Celtic and Villa.

There've also been some German clubs (Werder and HSV, I believe).

BTW, Brad is entering uncharted waters here. Starting July, 1, he can sign a pre-contract and be a free transfer beginning Jan, 1, 2,009. If this is the case, he'll be the one pocketing a major sign-on bonus, not MLS.

hmmm, go to werder or celtic

He'd maybe be a starter at Villa, doesn't look like they'll keep Carson.
First off, what is Arsenal's keeper situation? Lehmann's surely done and they can certainly do better than Almunia. Guzan (not Guzman :rollani:) could slip in there, but to go straight from MLS to Arsenal might be too much. Looking at Tim Howard in the 03-04 season, he did great for ManU, but then dropped off.

At Villa he could certainly secure a starter's spot, I might go for that guarantee.
Arsenal seem fairly happy with Almunia, he's done well this season, to be fair to the guy. They also have the young Pole, Fabianski.
we will need another though, you can't have only two goalkeepers.

Howard DIDN'T drop off ...

He was playing behing a lousy defence, especially Sylvestre.
He was made the scapegoat by SAF for all the failings of his defence, IMHO.

I beg to differ...he made a few shockers...

S. Under-23 national team goalkeeper and 2008 Chicago Fire draft pick Dominic Cervi is on trial with Scottish powerhouse Celtic. Ron Waxman, Cervi's New York-based agent, confirmed on Wednesday that Cervi has been with Celtic for more than a week as part of an extended trial.

The No. 12 overall pick in January's MLS Draft, Cervi turned down the Fire's offer of a minimum salary contract, valued at about $32,000 a year, but could wind up a big winner if he can secure a contract from Celtic, which is in the market for goalkeepers, especially with the strong likelihood that starter Artur Boruc will leave this summer.

Celtic is the same club that made a strong push for Chivas USA and U.S. national team goalkeeper Brad Guzan only to have Guzan turn them down in favor of Aston Villa. Guzan then had his work permit application denied.

A 21-year-old native of Oklahoma, Cervi played for the U.S. Under-23 national team in Olympic Qualifying last month. He started in two matches for the U.S. team, including the 1-0 loss to Honduras in the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Championship match.
