Bologna are set to continue their summer transfer spending spree by targeting Perugia midfielder Renato Olive.

The club's president, Giuseppe Gazzoni, is keen to sign Olive some time this week, but it is expected he will need some time to think about the possible move to Bologna.

It is reported that Gazzoni has offered Perugia about £3 million for the midfielder and Olive would earn £300,000 over the next season.

Olive has also received an offer from Serie B side Torino to consider.

Meanwhile, Bologna are tracking £2 million-rated Cagliari midfielder Daniele Berretta, but Cagliari president Massimo Cellino is determined to build a squad ahead of their Serie B campaign and may not allow Berretta to move on.

Bologna's 27-man squad will meet in Sestola for a month of pre-season training before starting the new season at the end of August, when they play their first match in the Italian Cup.

This is really stupid ,why are they buying midfielders when they really need a Striker. Oliveria will not go good with Beppe , Beppe needs a tall and strong player by his side, Casiraghi and Andersson are the proof of that.

Maniero or Lucarelli would have been a good buy, I am glad they didn't buy Weah, he is to old.

Bolonga does need a midfielder, Berretta or Olive will be very good.

Olivera is short-time(1 year) replacement of K.Andersson, Weah was too expensive, Venezia didn't want to sell Pipo Maniero and Lucarelli only wants to join a 'big' team.

He they still have Kolyvanov he will be the 'big' striker, also they have the great talent Cipriani...

Yes Cipriani is good , but it's to dangerous to count on a young striker, and Kolyvanov is to much similar to Beppe, this is not good for Bologna.

Bolognas attack will prbably look like this :

----Signori--------------( Oliveira, kolyvanov, Cipriani )

------------Locatelli-----------------

Beppe and Locatelli looks more then good, but the other three guys are a big ?
Hard to say wich one of them Guidolin ( I know it's not right spelled ) will choose .

think he'll choose Olivera, and if he doesn't do good he will(yess!) start with Cipriani, Kolyvanov is more of a back-up incase some1 gets injured...
