A new season. A new beginning :D

A good mix of legendary BiH teams and squad strength this year. Might be one of the best seasons in recent years in terms of quality but that is not saying much.

a Zrinjski-Sarajevo title race will probably be the highlight of the season. The old days in liga 16 when a good four or five teams could have won the title are now long gone.

interesting. Despite the fact that BiH clubs have been performing poorly in Europe over the last few years and the quality of our league is well behind likes of Serbia and Croatia we can still generate much better average attendances than both of our neighbours. Bosnia must be the most unfortunate football mad nation there is!

Historic? Hard to believe.

I to zahvaljujući koeficijentu protivnika Mostaraca u trećem pretkolu, ekipi švedskog Malmoa.

Potencijalni rivali Plemića stoga su pobjednici mečeva Thun – Spartak Moskva, Torino – Shaktyor Soligorsk, Universitatea – AEK, Midtjylland – Glasgow Rangers, Molde – Aris, Rijeka – Aberdeen, Norkkoping – Hapoel Ber Sheva, Austria – Apollon, CSKA Sofia – Zorya, Lokomotiva Plovdiv – Strasbourg, Mariupol – AZ, Ventspils – Vitoria Guimaraes i Neftchi – Bnei Yehuda.

I am currently watching Celik vs Zeljeznicar and another packed house in terms of attendance in Bilino Polje. It's remarkable that people are still bothered to watch our joke of a league.

I think if the BH PL clubs were run better, had more investment from the savez there would be no reason for our league to be close to the level of our neighbours with a few teams in europe since at least a decade ago. It's a real shame considering that we have the clubs with tradition and a loyal fanbase to be on such a level.

kinda sad but whatever

Radnik v Borac - Game paused and players called off the pitch for number of minutes due to away fans chanting name of convicted War criminal Ratko Mladic.
Sloboda v Velez - Game paused for number of minutes due to bad illumination towards end of the match.
Celik v Zeljo - Game paused for number of minutes due to flares and bottles being thrown by home fans onto the pitch and at visiting team staff. Amar Osim hit with a bottle.

General hooliganism and bad manners has always been a problem in our region

But that's not what I am talking about. What makes our league a joke is the fact that clubs perform poorly in Europe and the level of investment is very low, and club finances are horribly mismanaged.

I mean the only club that is really managed well is arguably FK Sarajevo yet they still did not invest properly for Europe.

Our league certainly has a similar level of public interest as the Croatian and Serbian leagues but falls behind massively in terms of quality due to teams being run poorly on so many levels. It's annoying.

Some club has to eventually step up, start spending money, bringing in good players, scout efficiently and initiate good coaching practices because nowadays if you are not in Europe you are just going to rot. Eventually our league is going to be up there with San Marino, Gibralter, Andora etc... if this trend continues which is worrying because Bosnia has the talent to at least have one club reach the EL group stages in the next two years or so.

To continue my point look at clubs like FK Sarajevo, Tuzla City and even Zeljeznicar to an extant.

They are vanity projects with no real attempt by club owners to initiate some sort of progress. Zeljeznicar has been slacking for years and were so horribly mismanaged that they were not even allowed to play in Europe. FK Sarajevo only exists because the Malaysian PM was good friends with Vincent Tan and told him how sorry he felt for Bosnian Muslims

and Tuzla City. What a waste of an oppurtunity. Azmir Husic pays big wages and big money for players that won't even get him into the qualifiying rounds of the Europa League. He invested all that money into Sloboda back in 2013 knowing full well what he was getting into then when things started to get rough he ran off and put all his money in Tuzla City. What's he going to achieve? Absoloutley nothing.

I have realised one thing about Bosnians they love to complain about how shit things are in Bosnia and how they want to fix it but when it comes to the work, or when push comes to shove they don't do Shit. It's all talk no action.

Look at the amount of elder Bosnian football players who talk about how shit our league is and how it needs improving yet none return as coaches or even think about ending their playing careers back home and help the quality of our football both domestically and in Europe. Serbian players do it, Croatian players yet when it comes to Bosnian internationals they conveniently stay away from Bosnia whilst talking shit about our domestic football every chance that they get on sportsport or avaz.

This mentality needs to change other wise we will keep on regressing. end of rant.
