Arsenal.com says we have SOLD OUT for our friendly against Real Madrid which takes place on AUGUST 3rd!! And the prices are between £35 and £50! What a fanatical set of supporters, undoubtedly the best in the world! Who else has sold out 60 bloody thousand tickets for a FRIENDLY, TEN WEEKS before the game?!

Getting over 38,000 for an under-18 game was amazing enough. Especially when you consider reports that Man United and Chelsea fans FAILED to sell out their full allocation of 21,000 tickets for the Champions Leaue final, for the love of God. But this, has now eclipsed that.

:proud:

I dont believe that about the CL final, must be something wrong there?

The Utd fans would certainly have bought there allocation form the far east alone.

The rest is the truth, the whole truth

It has been billed as the English invasion of Moscow. But, to the embarrassment of Uefa and its sponsors, the Champions League final will take place against a backdrop of empty seats.

The prohibitive travel costs have meant that Manchester United, the world's best-supported club, have failed to sell their 21,000 ticket allocation.

The Luzhniki Stadium holds almost 85,000 spectators for most events, but even with its capacity reduced to 69,500 for this match, Uefa has been unable to sell all the tickets.

Telephone calls to the Old Trafford ticket office revealed that United had £73 and £120 tickets on general sale while Chelsea, in their first final, claimed that they had sold their allocation, the London club's official website indicated that there was still “limited availability” for two-night packages through their favoured travel partners.

Puts things in perspective about which clubs have a whole bunch of bandwagon supporters and which one has supporters who actually support no matter how well the club is doing.

You're welcome. :shades:

Put Real Madrid on the fixture list and you sell out well in advance. That's the way it works.

we'd sell out if we played Leyton Orient, and Leyton Orient would probably put up more of a fight than Madrid will. ;)

Quiet Jern. Diarra, Baptista, and Salgado are going to play some gorgeous one-touch football at the United Arab Emirates of Ashburton Grove. You know... one touch and it's into the stands. :D

Their stadium also holds 17,000 more than ours.

well last season we had Adriano gracing us with his massive presence, so at least they know they can't be that bad.

We got 56,632 tonight. And it was'nt included in season tickets. Amazing stuff for a mid-week carling cup game with the B team. Half the tickets were £20 too. The attendance was over 3,200 more than Man United's. They only sold out 70% of Old Trafford :howler:
