What do you think would benefit Italy the most?
I think if Mexico defeats Ecuador outright and we defeat Croatia outright, then that is the best result since then Italy and Mexico will just fight it out for first place, both would be guaranteed to advance. That would make the Mexico game less stressful and we might even rest some players because there are only a few days between the Mexico/Italy game and the next round.
Of course if Italy doesn't defeat Croatia outright, we might want a different result from the Mexico/Ecuador game.
