Silvio Berlusconi was interviewed during "Lunedi di Rigore" on Antenna 3 this evening via phone for rougly 15 minutes.

Down to scratch:

With Galliani, Braida and Ancelotti we're evaluating if it would be reasonable to reduce the squad in numbers. All the squad members should however be of great quality. It's sad to see players not even making it to the bench.

Sheva is almost a son to me. We're particularly focused on signing new players for our defense and we're evaluating the possibility of signing a physically powerful striker.

Last week against Arsenal we dearly missed Ronaldo and above all Seedorf.

The interview will probably be published on most papers and web sites tomorrow.

Is that the same as Lunedi di Rigore as he was just on there... I might have been able to pick up more of what he said if I hadn't been on the beer again :drunk:

Oh fantastic, yes, reduce the squad number ;) Cause we have so much depth :D Depending on the great quality attribute though. If great quality means no Favalli, no Digao, no Brocchi... and if a reduced number means also a younger squad with not some 38 yo bench players that are more frequently injured than being available, it might work.

And we missed Ronaldo? How can we miss someone that has hardly played any matches this season? It's like if he had said in the past that we were missing the presence of Redondo. Or Futre.

Actually he said that too in different form.

Anyway, Berlusca wants a strong and powerful striker.

We shall see

Ah, bastardo. He just wants my dual-passport vote for the next election. Damn politicians. Speriamo bene.

Drogba springs to mind. However, that would contradict the ever-growing Sheva talk. Either way it seems likely we could be doing business with Chelsea this summer. I wonder if Gilardino fancies learning English...

The Berlusca interview was a brief intermission to the ongoing discussions focused upon how can Inter be so lucky with refs. :smileani:

Anyways, Berluca was asked whom that striker will be and he did not give any hint but suggesting that he'll be strong/powerful.

He can learn English in Italy;) Though that is the main reason to join Chelscum obviously, and not 30 pieces of silver (isn't that right, Andriy?)

Borriello is strong and powerful. He won't cost £25 million and he isn't 30 tomorrow

If I were Czech or Italian coach, they would be still internationals. Il magnifico Corradi and Jan "Valuev" Koller forming a tridente with il mago, Christian Brocchi. Mouth watering.

This "supporting Inter" talk is what I mean with 'election propaganda'. It's so irritating. So I fear the current talk about spending might be just that kind of propaganda too, after I guess a lot of Milanisti got pissed off with the idea of seeing Milan being just 2nd category in the mercato in the near future.
