Frank Rijkaard has asked Dennis Bergkamp to re-consider his retirment from the Dutch national team after Euro 2000, do you think Bergkamp should continue?

Iv'e read rumours ha may be getting some treatment and help to overcome his fear of flying so he can play in the 2002 World Cup.

Another possibility is playing the qualifying matches, and hopefully be a major part of the Netherlands succesful attempt to qualify for the tournamant. But then I think Bergkamp would really like to play in the Cup itself too.

It's probably best that he just retires, although 31 is quite premature, Klinsmann went to 34. But then again, Shearer is just 30 and he's retired too.
Maybe it is time for Van Nistelrooij and Makaay to step in, should Bergkamp continue, and Van Nistelrooij come back into the national side, it's unlikely Bergkamp will be positioned up-front again, so that means he will be shifted to midfield, where there is immense competition, with so many player vying to play there at the moment.

We've seen with Hagi, Stoijkovic and Matthaus older players aren't always the players with the best effect on the team.
