May 20, 2000, Sport Lisboa and Benfica will play against AS Parma, in a doubleheader following the Metrosatrs game. It is said that the stadium is already set to be packed to maximum capicity. Why do you think that they manage to pack this game and not a regular season game, I believe that this league's fans really need to get up and go see regular season games to show support for their teams, and not just go to the stadiums for special events.

MLs has a record crowds of 27k and 24k in NY and los angeles in 2000.
but, in NY the story is different, they want good soccer, and so far the metros have not being able to put together a winning team, LOthat M still lost....
Benfica vs. AC Milan, will add 13 to 16k to the crowds...but, no chance they will fill giants stadium to capacity of 60k!

colombia vs. salvador used scrubs and bench palyers for a double header last year, and the stadium reached 46k..... that is the record for a double header, in USA, for a mLS league date.

the week after the metros will see colombia vs. Jamaica in the other double header for the month of may.
