2015/2016 ... things are looking better

Charleroi ... after winning 5-1 (v. Beitar Jeruzalem) should advance/face Zorya Luhansk next (who missed the group stage by a hair last season ... Elvis Manu's last-gasp goal saving Feyenoord from elimination).

Standard ... Duchatelet didn't give a single fnck about the EL but maybe the new owner does ... they'll face either Ferencvaros or Zeljeznicar Sarajevo.

Club ... they recently won a friendly with Panathinaikos ... now they can go at it again ... Timmy Simons will turn 39 later this year but he looks like he can stomach another season of 60 matches/over 5000' on a pitch.

Lovely to see this!

Few years ago there were almost dead

Now with the new owner they are financial healthy, became a stable club with a good atmosphere and playing European football.

I see possibilities for them against Zorya Luhansk but they are not favorite.

Now we know why LvG has been spending so much ... big bad Bruges (the MK Dons on steroids) ... it's not like MUFC stood much of a chance against any of the possible opponents but drawing fvcking Bruges is harsh ... LvG's luck had to run out sometime.

Standard will face Norwegian champions Molde

Gent

They have already majorly exceeded expectations by securing 3rd place in the group but my god, they have a great chance to make it to the RO16!

Congrats to them  Everyone wanted to play them before the draw came out and they have proved everyone wrong

Gent is #exceptional ... of all the clubs with the lowest income in their group, Gent is the only one to avoid being at the bottom ... even unlucky that they aren't already through to the RO16 ... they deserved more ... now they need a win at home against Zenit (or Lyon can lend a hand) ... reportedly Zenit will double the bonuses of their players if they win against Gent #shitgoddamn

Anderlecht did fvck up during that long trip to Azerbaijan yet in Monaco didn't fvck up in the final 10 minutes #unusual ... should be impossible to fvck it up at home against Qarabag though #DoNotFvckUp

Club Brugge have put themselves in a situation in which they control their own fate ... need an away win against Midtjylland #MoneyballFC #tricky

Whoscored says there was two errors that led to Zenit's equaliser, one by Kums and the other by Nielsen.

Gent went 2-1 up in 78 min. Milicevic scored.

5 minutes left. Lyon are leading by two goals against Valencia. Gent are in RO16

Gent :worship:

First Belgian club to make the UCL knockout phase since Anderlecht in 2000-01 iirc
Yea back then Anderlecht had that tall glass of Czech beer, Koller, and also Baseggio, Stoica, Radzinski, et al. ... had to face a very strong PSV and Man United (with Beckham and Scholes).

I can't give Gent enough respect ... also hats off to their manager ... next they'll face one of Real Madrid, VFL Wolfsburg, Atletico Madrid, Manchester City, FC Barcelona, Bayern München or Chelsea ... I'd say hopefully Wolfsburg but doesn't really matter ... like Hein said: "if we want to play against a small club, we'll have to play against ourselves."

I didn't expect Gent to go through to the RO16 in their maiden Champions League campaign ... also didn't didn't expect Anderlecht to advance from a group with Monaco and Spurs ... however Brugge we need to talk.

Anderlecht could have had a very soft draw as one of the seeded teams ... but yea let Club fully cash in for once.
