I don't think this is the confirmed squad. It may be, but I haven't heard anything else about it. Hopefully tomorrow there will be news on the squad.

Then say so! Don't just post it without crediting it to anyone. ;) At least play it off as your opinion!

The squad won't be announced until next Monday. This squad is definitely not the final squad; it only list 2 keepers and Boa Morte is injured I believe.

I heard it on BBC aswell , Just an opinion of the commentator. He is close to the money though with some of the things he was saying , he did mention injuries and underdone players were a concern;)
But the squad will be named next week.

Litos & Boa Morte.

I really hope Litos makes the squad, he's been in superb form for Malaga this season.

Boa Morte - injured or not he doesn't deserve to be in the Portigal squad.

He's made very few appearances with Fulham and when he has, he's been average. Poor discipline and giving thhe ball away has been a big problem, and he hasn't had much luck scoring goals either. Scored loads last season in the Nationwide but the Premiership is a different kettle of fish and he's not good enough simple as that. There's plenty of other players out there who have been playing regularly and much better than him that deserve the spot in the squad.

Hugo Leal busted up his knee in March and is ruled out as well.

As for JMP, he's not international caliber. I could probably name 7-10 other central defenders I would take before him.

Name them then Penguiny.

I think JMP is in the top 5 or so Portuguese central defenders, & if given his chance Im sure he would do well. Hes been rock solid at Benfica all season.

To me our defence is a worry, our rocks Couto and Costa are solid but verrry slow, them nippy Koreans are going to run them raggered if they can get the ball near are goal. I guess well just have to hold all the possession.

Figos a BIG worry too, hopefully hell be fit come crunch time.

Here are 8:

1. Couto
2. Costa
3. Jorge Andrade
4. Beto
5. Litos
6. Fernando Meira
7. Marco Caneira
8. Ricardo Carvalho

After these guys, JMP is probably the best of the next tier, which would probably include Pedro Emanuel (hate this guy!), Helder, and Ricardo Silva.

Also, we've got some U-21 central defenders who are really solid (Tonel, Ricardo Costa, and Vasco Faisca) and could probably leapfrog past JMP in the coming years.

Ricardo Silva would be useful as he can play as a striker as well if things aren't going our way....

I like Ricardo Silva but he and JMP seem to be overlooked for the national team.

DAN i know why!

Miss Universe is from Planet Earth all the time because
none of the other ones run for the compitition.

And if they did the would be dead by the time they arrived here.

And because the need a translater because they dont speak english. And Universal translaters are hard to find.
