Bayern Munich have apparently joined the chase for Yugoslavian striker Mateja Kezman by making a £9.6 million bid for the player, who is being courted by some of Europe's top clubs.

Kezman, the Partizan Belgrade hitman, who made two substitute appearances during Euro 2000, is rated at £14.5 million by the club and they are believed to have told Bayern to up their offer if they are to get their man.

Kezman has already been linked with Milan, Barcelona, Fiorentina and Rennes, but only Bayern have so far made a firm bid for the highly-rated player, who has starred in the Yugoslavian Under-21 side.
