by young, i mean below the age of 25...since defenders don't get noticed until a certain age..
let's see...(off the top of my head)
Argentina: Gonzalo (VIllarreal), Pareja (Espanyol), Garay (Madrid), Fazio (Sevilla)
Brazil: Thiago Silva (Milan?), Ale Silva (HSV)
Uruguay: Caceres (Barcelona), Godin (Villarreal)

I think Argentina and Uruguay have the best ones....what u guys think?

Cristian Zapata is clearly the best "young" South American central defender IMO, with Gonzalo second best. Gonzalo is 24 now though so a little out of place compared to a few other defenders in that list, who still have time to blossom and become accomplised defenders. What they need to do though is move to clubs where they get regular game time. Both Zapata and Gonzalo dont play for big clubs and are benefitting from it. Guys like Caceres will get a small handful of starts at Barcelona if they're lucky.

Breno from Bayern although he's still only 19 and I have to be honest I've never seen him play.
